I'd like Mirallas to stay, but I wouldn't be to downhearted if he joined Spurs. He either has a blinder or he's shït,he also gets injured easily. I was gutted when we lost Pienaar tho.

Must admit I would like to see delafou back on a permanent deal. If lennon was to cost 9 mill. Would go for the young lad for 15 mill. Don't know if that would be enough but think he could be quality.

It will be 9million mate and we have first option on Kevin miralles.

Be warned we are looking heavily at John stones too.

Think I am joking wait until July for the above to unfold
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You haven't got a cat in hell's chance of getting Stones and you know it. It would take a massive amount of cash to buy Stones and Spurs haven't got that kind of money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
how do you know how much we have available to spend?

our net spend will be close to zero, as it always is, so how much we have depends on who we sell and for how much.

we could easily have 60 or 70 available to spend this summer.

I personally don't want stones, as we have our own version - Eric Dier... what we need is an established, experienced CB, not another kid.

how much would you demand for stones? 20?

Personally I would be unreasonable and ask for £50 million as nobody would buy him at that price

I'm only going by history and the only time you really pushed the boat out was when you sold Bale. I've got nothing against Spurs,I just don't think you've got the stature to prise a player from us (unless they're out of contract).

I know fans over evaluate their players, but Stones is worth well more than £20m.

but what offer would everton accept for stones?

I have barely seen him play. is he actually any good? because the kid that gets hyped at everton is barkely, and hes pretty mediocre.

Not sure about mediocre, but god Barkley is frustrating given the ability he has on the ball.

As for Stones he is on a long contract and we don't need to sell so there's no reason why it wouldn't take anything other than an absolute blockbuster bid to prise him away. And realistically a club like Spurs, whilst happy to flash the cash, are not the sort of team to go big on a defender.

this is true. and it holds us back.

our fans want to buy strikers, and no one at the club seems to realise that its actually our shambolic defence that has been holding us back year after year after year.

this year though our defence has been as bad as I can remember it, and surely we will invest heavily in the back this time.

as I said before, however good stones is, we need an established, experienced CB to organise the clowns we have back there.

Vlaar would do.

Barkley's decision making is shocking at times,he needs to learn when to release the ball and when to keep hold of the ball, because at present that's hs biggest flaw.

As for Stones,if he progresses at the same rate as he has done since he joined us,he could turn into a great defender in the mould of a Rio Ferdinand. He could be that good.

If he does continue his development, then he's more likely to finish at Chelsea or one of the Manchester clubs and not Spurs

sounds like Andros townsend

To be fair in the last three or four games Barkley has looked miles better playing in a central role than being out on the flanks like he has for large parts of the season.

9m is a bit on the steep side but I would take cash and Lennon for Kev today.

As for stones, you can only buy what is for sale

posted on 7/5/15

And for me, £9m is too much for Lennon, given his age and the time left on his contract at Tottenham and the fact he is out of favour there. I would say that we should hold the advantage in negotiation there and if we were to get him for £6-7m that would be fair to both clubs.

He's still prone to the odd mistake, but he's improving game by game. He's a better centre-half than Shaw is left-back put it that way. It's hard to put a valuation on him as a team would be paying for potential (that he might no fulfil). If he doesn't improve then he's probably worth £20m,but he continues to progress like he has been then he's going to be worth a fortune.

Barkley has been poor this season as has Lukaku, but they're both young so lets see how they get on next season.

I wouldn't sell stones or Barkley even for silly money, because how do you replace them?

comment by Chronic (U3423)

surely you just replace barkely with someone good, rather than someone who is all hype?

if stones is as good as you say then he will be harder to replace.

Bale was offered to Martin Jol, who was the manager of Hamburg for a mere £5m his form was that bad. Barkley is young give him a break.

I believ Barkley will be a very good player....as will Stones.

So I would prefer to keep them rather than try to replace. Look how that worked out for Liverpool replacing Suarez?

I think most Spurs fans would say they should have spent better with the Bale money.Liverpool fans would point out that they bought 'potential'

posted on 7/5/15

I think £9m is a little too high, I'd be looking at more £7m but it's Levy vs Kenwright here so it's an easy one for Levy as not doubt he'll wipe the floor with him on negotiations

I'm resigned to losing Mirallas but if he does end up at Tottenham, be warned, if you are not seriously threatening to get Top 4 spot he will just go in a sulk and be his inconsistent self, also his injury record is not great.

Stones - he'll end up at either City, Chelsea or United within a couple of years if he keeps on improving

Well you can't put a price on potential.

Hold on, didn't TOOR say they bought Borini because of his potential and that he has an international cap??

Billy got £28m for Fellaini,£12m For Rodwell,£6m for Big Vic and kept hold of Baines. Saying that he did sanction the deal for Koné so he has his flaws.
