The way they go on about the political right from up on their soap boxes you'd think that Mao and Stalin didn't slaughter tens of millions of people!

Giving idiots the right to vote Labour
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting statement. Speaking as someone who has at one point or another voted for the major three parties, it is an interesting perspective .
For example, Tony Blair's New Labour were more Tory than David Cameron ever is and despite his Thatcherite pretensions DC is the heir to BLair.
I guess my point is , despite being a hackneyed statement, it is very much true that 'there is little difference btw them all'
Highlights from MIlliband manifesto shows he intends to maintain most of the Tory austerity cuts, immigration plans etc
Cameron on the other hand intends to match labour's insane expenditure on health and continues to put the nation in even bigger debt than ever by reckless borrowing etc
The result either way doesn't really affect me.
Was that bacon sandwich kosher.
I completely agree TRC. It was one of the many reasons why I voted for the UKIP.
In many ways it was a protest vote against the constitution and against the digression from Thatcherite policy under Cameron.
If UKIP get 10+% of the votes and less that 5% of the seats it's not only a moral victory for Farage, but will hopefully lend further weight to the argument for proportional representation.
The fact that Farage wants to cut £9bn of foreign aid is just a bonus.

I'm a commoner (the missus worries when taking me to posh restaurants that will start banging on the table singing songs from the Blitz!) who is fortunate to be well educated and work in a good job. I don't think any of the parties really represent my best interests or that of the majority of the country.
The Conservatives are laughable and I struggle to understand how none of the other parties have taken them to task. They tell people not to vote Labour because Labour will spend like they did previously, yet the Conservatives have spent more and increased the deficit and debt by more these last 5 years than Labour did in 13. The austerity measures they put in place actually held the economy back for the first two years of their tenure (the economy grew more in the last 2 years under labour than it did in the first two under the Conservative government) and it was only once they eased on austerity that the economy began to grow. The baffling thing is, despite all this, they are telling us they will cut more rather than invest, meaning our economy will growth will stall again. Yet they have somehow convinced some people they have done a good job.
Labour fail to provide a realistic alternative, or one than I can really buy into. They have now become a Tory-lite and, like the Tories, will just bow to the corporations.
Lib Dems aren't even being considered. A party who fail to go through with any of their policies and will sell out to another.
UKIP don't really represent any of my values. I don't think they are racist and think they will be stronger next election as they have grown too quickly, but I don't find myself on board with some of their policies.
Greens are really frustrating. I find they have some really good policies but a lot of them go too far. They are the only party who say they want to bring corporations to task, but they want to leave us almost defenceless.
And the thing that annoys me most is the election system. If I don't vote for either Conservatives or Labour in my constituency, I may as well not vote. UKIP, in the latest polls, were down to win 15 % of votes, yet will only win 2 seats and therefore have little opportunity to get into power.
That said, I have voted, so now I get to moan for another 5 years.

I think you hit the nail on the head with this comment. It's not a new government that we need; it's constitutional reform!

This.
I and most of the people I talk to don't want Labour or Conservative to get in, so are voting for either UKIP or the Greens as more of a vote against the big two than anything else. What if UKIP actually get in though?!
