Apparently, an international friendly is non-binding. It's only the 1st official match (potentially Liechtenstein in September) that ties the player to the country.

That said, Thiago did tweet that he was delighted with the call up. I'd imagine that playing at every youth level may also have created a bond with some of his teammates - and he'd also be playing alongside many of his Barça teammates. Perhaps the Brazilian FA has been a bit foolish not trying to get the player more involved.

Deulofeu came on for the last 10-15 minutes of the Barça vs America de Mexico last night and proved a real dagger. Very positively surprised with the 17 y.o.

he certainly has a lot of individual talent..from what I saw of him in the u19s, his decision making was erratic...but at 17 maybe that is to be expected !

Watched the Nigeria game, it turned on an awful miss by a Saudi forward which was punished by Musa's goal barely 20 seconds later. In the second half we comfortably held the Saudi's and nicked a late goal.

I'm pretty confident we'll get past England, defeat would be hard to take!
