It's called a hollow victory.
I can see where you're coming from.
2004/5 - First title in 50 years. Amazing feeling.
2005/6 - Smashed United 3-0 to win it and lifted the trophy that day.
2009/10 - Won it on the final day, with a 8-0 win.
2014/15 - Despite being head and shoulders above every other team in the league, grinded out a turgid 1-0 vs Crystal Palace and now have to wait three weeks to see the team lift the bloomin trophy.
Towards the end it was more a relief to get over the line.
I was just worried we would feck it up, even though I was sure we wouldnt.

I think it's because no team really competed with us. Even with us being cheated out of results we still trounced the league.
I know what you mean, There was the initial buzz of winning it but even now it doesn't feel like we are Champions, once we lift the title it probably will. The 04/05 title was the sweetest.
Here's to many more similar anticlimaxes.
Really? I was ecstatic at the final whistle.
I was extremely happy. First title in five years and only second title in nine years. We really needed this one.
Certainly beats struggling just to make top four which is pretty much what we've been doing since winning the Double in 2010.
The media played down our title win but that was to be expected.

Err fack off it was brilliant.
How often do you get to celebrate winning the prem?
Not every year!
Oh come flash, its great, I've been buzzing since last weekend, maybe it will hit you when we finish the season and have the parade !

You're a bit late Flash. We were pretty much champions from November, not February, don't kid yourself
Completely agree though, and a great point of reference to illustrate your point. To this day that 2-1 win over Liverpool to reach the CL is one of my fondest football memories, despite our horrific financial situation at the time it felt like we were on the verge of something for the future (if only I knew Roman was taking over mere months later). I distinctly remember my first thought after the final whistle, something which seems like an eternity ago now...... "Now we might just get our man, Joe Cole"
Fans can praise complete superiority all they like, and there's something very gratifying in that of course, but bottom line is anyone would take a City 11-12 style of title win over winning it with a month to spare any day. It's the reason we're all football fans to begin with, adrenaline pumping moments of ecstasy like I'm sure their fans had the moment Aguero scored that 93rd minute goal
