What is the plan for Ake?

I also like him and TBH I think he (and Chalobah) make more sense to integrate into the squad as a squad midfielder player than RLC. Jose does not seem to rate him as highly as Rafa which is fair enough, but in the 18 months he then went on to stay at Chelsea he made 5 appearances. He made the same number of appearances in his 2 month loan at Reading. Why he couldn't go on loan more under Jose I'm not sure.

I'm not sure where his future position could be at Chelsea. Given that under Jose he is far behind in the CM pecking order, LB makes sense. He played there for the youth team quite regularly in 13/14 and he impressed me there, both going forward and defending, but at Reading and in general in the first team he has played more in DM.

Im not that convinced with Chala these days TBK, was excited a few years back but in all honesty I think he's been average on all his loan spells including Watford.

If someone told me in 4 years time 3 of our current youth player's will be first teamers ill bet my mortgage on them being Ake, RLC and Solanke.

Would hope he replaces Mikel in the squad next season

I would think one of Ake or RLC will be loaned and the other will spend most of his time on the bench, unless Matic gets injured. Even then Ramires will be 1st back up.

best chance for game time would be if we reverted to 4-3-3 but we need to buy another quality winger for that (If cuadrado doesnt step up)

Watford fans would tell you differently Kings, and he was 17 turning 18 in that season. He's had 4 loans since in 2 years, hardly ideal for a player's development. Reading fans are equally praiseworthy of him and he was very impressive against Arsenal in the FA Cup (as he was against City 2 years ago).

That's their perogative BK, I haven't seen anything from him that stands out and make a me think hr has a high chance of making it here like I feel with Solanke, Cheeky, Ake or even McEachran a few years back, what a let down that was.

Happy squad players are very hard to find and are usually older and more experienced

Only have to Look at Shirley Kev Bruyne Lukaku for this.
that's why players like Mikel shouldn't be getting Roast Beef every time he puts on a Chelsea kit

Hmm, fair enough, but I still think he's a good talent and with nearly 100 senior appearances could easily come back into the squad as a squad player in midfield.

Alas I think him and Aké will be on loan again next season, hopefully to PL/top 5 league teams.

While Mikel is there, Ake and Chalobah will never get into the team. Also Mourinho doesn't seem to trust the younger players - they are just a cushion on the bench. I've seen nearly all of Chelsea's matches this season and Ake has been on the bench probably more than 20 times but how many times has he come on?

Cant justify any current left back to be better than Dave

Just saying well drop Brana is not the answer

Fergie was brilliant at keeping all the squad happy and fresh.

Explained why we nearly always came good around the March period.

Agreed and given we are being linked with RBs and not LBs I think it's safe to say he has that position to himself for the foreseeable.
