I was thinking of Bolton not Preston, yes he has started most games.

Still point stands he is 31yo now so pushing 32, great time to sign a striker, at the end of his career

Aye. you're right silly idea, Lee Chapman was how old when he came to Leeds?

He was at the beginning of his career eh..?

A season in the Championship and he'll likely be 32 pushing 33, let's put him straight on the scrapheap.

Beckford needs someone who will set him up all the time and Antenucci doesn't work for anybody but himself. They're too alike in that respect!

Couldn't agree more re the service, I would hope that is addressed also.

Without Morison and Sharp preferably

I accept they are similar but I'd prefer to keep him than those two. Ideally two strikers needed.

I will be interested what happens with Doukara, Montenegro and Agard.

You obviously never watched him at leeds

Set a lot of goals himself and made things out of nothing

Having said that

If it wasn't the fact he's played for us, we wouldn't be having this thread.

Loved him when he was with us but he isn't the answer, and anyone who thinks we should sign him, well frankly, no fook all about football

Set up a lot of goals and made things out of nothing....?

He scored a few too. Don't forget that.

But then as you say, he's not what we want now.

You want Morison don't you...?

Gatlin 33, just ran the 6 th fastest 100m of all time ,
Does age matter?

As he was in lanes he has shown he can run down channels. But can he trap a ball.

Them that have read books about football consider that a must nowadays.

Fact : we need to sign better players than what we have now...........

Question : Is beckford a better option next season than

Antenucci - Probably
Sharp - Yes
Morison - Depends on tactics
Doukara - Yes
Ajose - Probably
Walters - Yes

Now if we have a top striker lined up clearly he should not be signed but if we are going to sign italian serie B then Beckford should be on his way to Leeds right now.

Morison?

Really?

I hope we do t resign Beckford. We can do better, bring someone in that's actually scored goals at this level. Best move for Jermaine is to Preston.

Rather have Morison than Beckford, at least he doesn't go missing and can't be bothered. He works for the team unlike Beckford who expects the team to work for him.

We were linked to Beckford 3 seasons a go, we coulda had him then, not now. We can surely do better. He is however better than the current crop of strikers we have, so as a 3rd/4th choice striker ahead of Sharp and Morison, Doukara, on a free ....... could pay off.

He's not even better than the players we have

posted on 16/5/15

I'd have Lee Chapman (as he is now) come back over any we've been linked with so far...!

posted on 16/5/15

I'd have Yaboah back as he is!..

Be a great coach at this level!.

posted on 17/5/15

He's had experience as a manager too, doesn't he run an hotel...?

posted on 17/5/15

If that's so Eric, that's what we could be looking for!..

I mean we have tried the real thing, not helped much for a number off years so you never know, nothing like being different!..
