Didnt want to bring him up on this thread but not sure you could swap Lampard into the statement for Mikel TKT

agreed. But Lampard is really a West Ham player at the end of the day. Chelsea had more money is all.

That slip when he lost his bottle against Chelsea!
Also when he got away with being sent to jail for assaulting that poor dj.

His pass to Suarez that effectively knocked England out of the World Cup. Good old Stevie G.

Got to love all these oppo fans falling over themselves to run Stevie down.

Especially the Chàvs who can't stand the fact that Stevie preferred not to win the Premiership with them in favour of just a chance or two to win it with the club he supports. There is a limit to what money can buy.

He's been absolutely brilliant for us, it's just a shame we didn't have one or two more like him. An Anfield legend.

My personal fav moment was the last gasp goal v West Ham in the cup final. That to me is what he was all about.

Hope we see him back as manager one day.

His goal against Germany in the 5-1

His long range strike against UTD past Bartez

But my fave will always be "oh you beauty, what a hit son. What a hit"

Olympiakos goal every time but also loved the kissing the camera at OT to wind up the mancs.

Probably the West Ham FA Cup goal, ( second one )

FACUP Final goal, where he had run himself into the ground, we are about to lose, theres about 10 secs left and he has cramp so is hobbling round. The venom in the shot and how far he was out was just amazing. As soon as it left his foot I screamed and the relief when it hit the back of the net. That goal makes me smile every time

That's 'fans' for you these days. Especailly the Chelsea one's who keep reminding us that Gerrard was nothing more than an average player, yet Mourinho tried to sign him three times.

Gerrard, Scholes & Lampard have been the best midfielders over the past 10-15 years.

There's just so many

The infamous slip
The assist to Drogba to help us to the title in 2010
The header to suarez in the world cup was a beauty too.
But my personal favourite was this one https://youtu.be/AdyVzhJto_E
No matter what the haters say, he's a chelsea league title winner in my eyes.

That will always be my favourite football memory. To go from hurt to pure adrenaline and of course it's what set us on our way to lifting the trophy.

Got to be the West Ham goal for me.

That was such a Roy of the Rovers moment.

It felt like we were destined to lose that game with the Carra Og and the Konchesky fluke. Gerrard shaped his own destiny.

So that day has arrived the last game at Anfield for Steven Gerrard, a day to remember, a day to look back at all he has done for us. Will we see the likes of Gerrard again? I doubt it very much, football has changed and the determination needed to be a player like Gerrard has gone from the mentality of the young.
The titan will walk out onto the hallowed ground once more and recall all the victims he has left scrambling in the dirt. The memories of vital moments throughout the course of career littered with glory will come flooding back to the man himself and all those who worship him.
The masses will sing his name and call for more memories, one more tackle, one more pass and of course one more goal.
His powers waning but his mind still sharp can he muster one more performance, can he claim one more victim?
The crowd awaits their champion.

Has to be when he slalomed through the Sheffield Wednesday defence to announce his arrival!

Genuinely the best player of the last 20 years at least. No one else has got near his range of ability

You could play him in defence, midfield or up front and he'd be the best player on the pitch

Leadership, drive & determination, vision, tackling, short & long range passing, pace, finishing, shooting. The 'complete' player

Forget every other name that people will throw at you, he is the only one who could actually do it all!
