Yeah seen lots about this online , any one seen him play ?

Reputation is not bad & has played well in Bundesliga, so hopefully he would settle in PL quckly & comfortably.

Poch obviously keen to address areas that need strengthening!

22 years old, 1 full cap for Austria, bundesliga experience, will he be ready for the PL? Who knows.

posted on 17/5/15

As ready as anyone I would think Billy.

Apparently he's slow and not naturally gifted but makes up for it with determination

Think he was voted joint 3rd for the best cb in the bundesliga this season

Decent write up on Wimmer, not sure he is what we need tho.

"When I came to the club in 2013, Kevin was a bit overweight, and I didn't have the impression he knew what he should be doing," Stoger said last year.

Think this bloke should have a word with Chiriches as well

Major weaknesses:

- Not the best technically
- Concentration can be an issue

Jesus christ, it's a bigger Chiriches

the centre-back now wins around 58 percent of his aerial duels.

Oh Brilliant, teams will score 1 in 2 duals he gets involved in knowing how we defend

Reads like he is going to be similar to Dier, young and with potential to improve into a quality CB.

We still need another experienced CB though, who is the finished article and has leadership qualities.

Seems a good buy to me after what I've read.

As a former cb myself (very average) I am not impressed with Vertongen or Fazio, then again the cb as we know them are a dying breed.
If we are signing young lads like Dier and Wimmer we need experience along side them, put the experienced needs to be an old school cb. Players like Vlaar are ideal, I'm not a massive fan but he is solid and can teach the new generation of cb's how to actually defend by putting your body in harms way. Making a goal saving tackle should feel like scoring a goal to a defender

Vlaar spursbeefcake? I don't know of him.

Really chickasaw? Ron Vlaar? Aston Villa and Dutch cb. Suffered a few injuries but still good to have around plus he's free in the summer but not sure if man Utd will over for him.

Ok thanks sbc. I'm in Geneva and don't look at a lot of other teams and never Aston Villa.

haha chickasaws football knowledge summed up in one sentence

regarding wimmer, i have only seen glimpses of him on highlight shows, sounds a promising player. I think im in the minority but i dont think fazio is that bad, first season is always hard for foreign cbs.

eriksensensen, just because I don't know of a certain player doesn't stop me from following a football club does it? Just because I don't know who Vlaar is it doesn't make me thick does it? I have been following football since Spurs won the double, what about you?
