Very happy to hear his comments on the English core too. I think it's important we value them ALL, I'll throw Sczesney in there as well as he's more or less in that group.

It's a second rate injury prone English core. Injuries have meant England have better options and your players have been overtaken

Welbeck -> Kane
Wilshere -> Wilshere
Oxlade -> Sterling
Gibbs -> Shaw
Walcott -> Sturridge

Wilshere -> Henderson

Any consensus on who we would want as a supplementary DM?

Carlvalho, Kondogbia type.

" "The appreciation today of the quality of a player is just down with the money you spend. If we had bought Coquelin at Christmas for £40 million, everyone would say 'what a signing'"

I do kind of think he has a point, but then only last year he was arguing about Ozil's high transfer cost (coincidentally £40m too) being the reason people are not appreciating him.

As for appreciation, Coq has quickly become a fans favourite and is earning the praise of many pundits within the game now.

I think the point is that Wenger didn't respect or appreciate Coq enough to play him when he sold Song. So why does he expect the fans to accept him as top prospect when he didn't?

Wenger had frozen Coq out of the squad long before Song left. I remember at the time people were saying attitude problems, things seem to have changed since then. It shows how good Coq has been because usually when you píss Wenger off, there is no way back.

Watched to-night's game on the Tele. One of the announcers hit the nail on the head when he commented early in the second half that: "this looks like a training field game". Yes once again Arsenal "walks" the ball down the field while the other team's defense gets time to set themselves up. Then we have the usual 8 to 10 sideways passes, followed by either trying to force the ball through a bunch of defenders or, passing the ball to the other team!

We have tactical lack of imagination and that begins at the top.
