I didn't see anyone call anyone 'convicts' and therefore a nickname was not used.

Someone did say they should send all Aussies back in chains, which implies you are ancestors of convicts and is a stereotype based on the country's heritage.

Someone also said that the NZ players should be shearing sheep. This is again a stereotype based on a industry associated with the country.

U can tell Roots got the luck, 2-3 nicks drop short and a very very close lbw.
