We all know that most of the attacking players at Madrid are supporting act for Ronaldo. That is why Bale is struggling so much. Whereas Giroud is Arsenal main' man.

Bale struggling because he misses 2-3 good chances every game. Nothing to do with Ronaldo.

Benzema is a donkey IMO but he's better than Giroud.

Benzema has 22 goals from 46 games this season, Giroud has 18 from 34. Also he has14 in 26 in the league as against Benzema's 15 in 29. So don't know what you are saying.

Benzema has played more games, Giroud haven been out for a long period, who says he won't have contributed more goals were he to have started same number of games? And the idea that Benzema is not Real's main striker is a ridiculous. Ronaldo does get more goals due to his brilliance as he does so playing from the wings most times. Benzema is NOT fundamentally much different to Giroud.

I can't show you that as it's purely my opinion and not based on any kind of provable fact.

Ultimately we've had Giroud for 3 seasons now and he's failed to get 20 league goals in any of them - despite playing with some incredible creators like Ozil.

If you watch Benzema, consistently, I find it really hard to believe you could genuinely say Giroud is on his level.

At Madrid Benzema's talent is limited due to Ronaldo factor, but if he were to play in Arsenal's system with allows 10 times more freedom, I believe he would flourish as a striker.

Well Benzema's best league return in the last 3 years is 17 and he had the likes of Ozil playing in that team.

You only need to watch football with your 2 eyes to see who is better. Benzema is miles better than Giroud. Miles better. Not even close. Benzema is actually inhibited at Madrid and the looming shadow of Ronaldo makes him less likely to take responsibility. Henry and Ibrahimovic and David Villa were similarly affected at Barca. Benzema is exactly the sort of player that would be transformed at a slightly lower level where he has greater personal responsibility. Just look at Alexis and Cesc's influence on the PL this year after a "step-down".

Indeed, and I actually don't think Benz would get more than 23/24 for us in the PL even though he could be the main man like Giroud is rather than basically a CAM/False 9 type role like he does for Real Madrid.

You've just got to watch him man.

Finishing wise they are pretty equal, Giroud is better with those little flick ons, but aside from that Benzema is better in pretty much every area. Acceleration, pace, first touch, control, dribbling, passing and he's much more intelligent in his movement

For Giroud to be effective, the ball must be moved quicker, where his flicks could open defenses or with crosses whipped in from the flanks. I think Giroud will score more goals in the real Madrid team the way it's set up than Benzema, with crosses coming in from Marcelo or Rodriguez/Bale. The tikitaka minus penetration that we play makes it difficult for players like Giroud.

23/24 would make him a clear second best in the league this year. Not to be sniffed at.

I have always had a feeling Benzema would work well at Arsenal. Maybe it's just because we've been linked with him several times over the years. His movement and pace are good. He'd probably get loads of chances, miss loads, but score a lot too.
