Quality review. Completely balanced.
4 underwhelmed me. 5 I haven't played enough to form an opinion because I just can't get into it.
I think I'm done with GTA tbh just cba putting the time in to get immersed in them anymore
Randrew, make the switch to PC. You know you want to. So many games.
This is your opinion OP.
My opinion, GTA 5 was awesome.
GTA4 was the worst one I have played, I include GTA 1, GTA 1 London, GTA 2, GTA 3 and all the others in that.
How can they go from a game like San Andreas which had everything in it to a dogsheet boring game like GTA4 which removed everything that was good about the game?
GTA 5 was quality , 4 was good but could never understand what little Jacob was saying.
Trevor is imo one of gamings greatest creations.
My favourite was Vice City .
GTA v was an amazing game, and the bad news for you op is that no more GTA for a few years. Expect a dlc announcement at E3.
OP
San Andreas is bar far the what ever gta game
4 was mediocre, good start but lost its way
The next one is supposed to be in London?
Vice city was awesome would love a remake on ps4
GTA III was the best, followed by Vice City then San Andreas.
V is the best by a considerable distance. Played San Andreas again since completing V and it makes you realise how spoiled we are now with games. San Andreas was great first time round but the series has moved well on now. That's not to say I didn't wish they'd put the jet pack in V......
GTAV is brilliant, it just wasn't long enough. Looking forward to any proposed DLC. Online is okay, bullying people from the safety of a fighter jet never becomes boring and there's some decent missions in there.

Are you Punjabi Tekkers?
GTA V was brilliant gameplay wise, amazing graphics, weapon choice, etc. I feel that the whole respawn during missions ruined it a bit - How am I supposed to gauge how hard a mission is if I can just go gung-ho, knowing there are no consequences? Also, preferred Niko to all the protagonists in GTA V tbh. Would rather have just one I think. The storyline wasn't great, and I didn't like the whole killing off of all the baddies in one mission. What happened to the huge Ryder chase, or Tenpenny in his fire truck, or chasing Pegorino on a beach? It just felt a bit emotionless and rushed.
Kent is right. Gameplay excellent but a bit too easy, checkpoints being the main reason for this. I know they actually wanted to eradicate the boring 'drive here, shoot, drive here, get paid' missions but I feel like there should be more of them. The world is great but the story felt a bit short in the end and didn't utilise enough of the map. That said, I liked the storyline and characters overall. Michael could've been the only playable one and it would've been great, family dynamic is a good addition. I know some disagree but I think Trevor works really well as an embodiment of how gamers play GTA, the North Yankton aspect of the story provides some tense moments. Franklin was let down by not having enough of a backstory, he goes from zero to hero after a few missions, whereas CJ or Tommy gradually became more powerful and the underrated Niko never really got there himself, just got used by more important people. Also agree with Kent that the final payoff for ending C (the one the vast majority of people choose) is a bit weak. A and B could've been really powerful, especially if there was no way out like in GTA IV. The soundtrack is another important aspect that is FAR better than IV.
Other than some minor server issues, don't know how you can argue with GTA Online. So many things to do with randomers, friends or as a crew. Lots of variety in the jobs and a good creator mode as well.
Vice City
Havent enjoyed any GTA as much as that.
GTA V sucked, GTA IV sucked..
dead franchise imho
I like V, didn't really rate IV, San Andreas still remains the best for me, just wish they could do a remake with current gen graphics. I want V's map to be expanded.
Vice city was my all time favourite followed by 5!
Like many others have said, GTA 4 was alright but compared to vice city and 5 it's a no contest!
1) Vice City
2) San Andreas
3) GTA V
4) GTA 3
5) GTA 4
I actually enjoyed the originals at the time

My ranking would be the same as Chris H's with Vice City and San Andreas switched. Those two were by far the best, and which one you like better from the two I would imagine has a lot to do with which era you gre up in.

I change my mind GTA II is the GOAT, memories
GTA 5 was streets ahead of GTA4 which was the worst of the francise. 3 was unbelievable due to its edyness and graphics and story at the time. Vice city was a great game, san andreas was too. 4 then plummeted gta for me, and 5 picked i tback up again
