Nick Bostrom's Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies
Is a decent read about general AI surpassing human intelligence.
Looks like a good read Admin cheers

The Goldfinch, 600 odd pages but very good stuff from start to finish.
True History of the Kelly Gang by Peter Carey
Depends where your interests lye.Personally I dont think I'll ever, ever, ever go near a Autobiography by a sportsman again.....ever.The Nobby Stiles Autobiography almost put me into a comma.
At the moment I'm jumping from Hunter S to Coupland to Luther Blissett's Q (not the former footballer by the way).
Roots by Alex Haley. Desperately sad at times but shows the tremendous character of the human spirit.
also, anything by James A. Michener. Long stories semi fictional but alays riveting

I'm not a fan of autobiographies myself to be honest. Occasionally there are some good ones (Ronnie O'Sullivan's 'Running' was superb) however most of them are ghost written trash.
