Another young defender..... Hmmm. Hope he's ready now rather than potential.

Never seen him play but have read positive things about him, strong, pacy, left sided and more of an old fashioned centre half than a ball playing centre back who isn't afraid to hoof it into row z to clear his lines.

Hopefully Paul Mitchell has had a say with this signing as his history of scouting at Southampton has been excellent with the likes of Pelle, Mane, Alderweireld, Tadic etc being bought in while he was there.

My only concern is that we still lack leadership at the back as we cant expect a youngster from another league to marshall our back four.

Hopefully we will still sign another cb with experience and leadership like Vlaar, or Shawcross.

Could be desribed as another low risk, you get what you pay for signing but he has got to be better than Kaboul and Vlad(who he could be replacing). Please.

one for the future again need a PL experienced leader at the back but not easy to get

Surely can`t be any worse than Vlad, we just a replacement for Kaboul now.

Which will give us Vertonghen, Dier, Fazio, Wimmer, plus another experienced CB.

Nothing could be worse than Vlad, he has to rate as one of the all time waste of money, hopeless, rubbish minger of a player. If KWimm can actually tackle we will be 1000% better off straight away.

Is he a leader though? Are we going to sign an experienced defender? I would still insist we also sign an experienced DM this summer.

I remember watching a YouTube compilation of Vlad before he signed and he was doing skills, banging in goals left right and centre! And then he rocked up on his European debut for us and did this:

I was creaming thinking who is this guy we signed?! Then he just turned out dogsh1te

Will judge this until he plays a few games for us. I have that little faith now in the Spurs heirachy transfer policies and scouting system at the moment. Maybe this Mitchell guy will change all that hopefully but we still need an experienced centre back. I would go for someone like Vlaar who will be available on a free.

K Wimmer? There's got to be some songs in here for the crowd, to the tune of the 'Arnold Rimmer' jingle from Red Dwarf.

It's Kevin, Kevin, Kevin Wimmer.
He'll chop you down like an industrial plant strimmer.
