I'm actually glad this season is over, it became a chore going the game.

The football is very boring imo ( I know some fans think the sun shines out of martinez's arśe and also think the football we play is very entertaining) I just don't see it myself. Quite a few of his buys have been ridiculous but he doesn't want to been seen to have made a mistake so plays them anyway. Let's hope this was a transitional season and we do much better next season.

Sounds like Liverpool's season as well, when will Merseyside start pulling together to overtake Manchester? It is no coincidence

true psychology plays a big part in sport but not sure what you mean by Merseyside pulling together, unless you mean that people start supporting both teams like they used to many many years ago.

Only chance Meryseyside clubs can overtake Manchester clubs would be when Liverpool FC bring in more money than United and Everton get richer billionaires than City.
Other than that how else are they expected to compete?

We started the season with a squad under prepared and totally lacking in match fitness.
The games against Leicester and especially at home to Arsenal highlighted this.Against the gunners we were physically shot after 70 mins and our players couldn't close down the opposition due to the lack of conditioning.
This set the tone for the whole season, those first few games sucked any belief out of the squad before the season got going,we cannot even blame the Europa league games.
Total lack of proper preparation and the fewest amount of pre-season games played by any Premiership side was our downfall.
Martinez and his backroom staff need to make sure this never happens again

agree, what's the saying? Fail to prepare, prepare to fail!
As I have already stated I think martinez should go but looks like he will be here for next season. Imo he needs to step up to the plate with his preparation and signings. I know I moan about him but I am always happy to be proven wrong if it's to the benefit of the club.

I think Martinez needs to look at the squad, look at some of his signings and look what style of play will get the best from his players.
He seems to be trying to fit square pegs in round holes too much,Lukaku for a start is not suited to be a back to goal forward who holds the ball up to bring others in and yet that is what he gets asked to do.
We have fullbacks who are great at getting at opponents and in the past putting great crosses in the box,now they beat a man but seldom put crosses in.
Same goes for free kicks in oppositions half,we play short passes, get closed down and 4 passes later Howard has it at his feet.
Corners are nearly all out swingers that favour the defenders,we are ponderous when faced with sides that sit back and we are vulnerable at the back with crosses.
Their is so much that needs to be addressed by Martinez and most of it seems to be down to how he wants us to play.
He doesn't seem to want us to play crosses into opponents box,so if we don't practise doing that in training then our defence also don't get to practive defending crosses and this season the evidence is all there to see.
Martinez's media work over the summer didn't help,he should have been back home preparing for the season. I wasn't particularly happy about him doing it,but I thought he'd use it as a scouting mission,he didn't.
