Klopp and Ancelotti are good candidates but Rafa has to be first choice.

I'd take Rafa back, or Ancelotti ( if available ). Both experienced managers that can attract quality players.

Rafa was the only manager in two decades I was frightened of.
Frightened he could upset our apple cart.
Don't like him but nobody likes SAF except United fans.
I think BR is a good manager, but doubt if fans of Chelsea ,for example, worry about him.
But Rafa frightened them.

The dust is beginning to settle but the shock is still there. Dreadful performance by the Reds. Managers fault? He's got to take a major share of the blame. Rafa - Real bound according to the Press - would be a worthy replacement, and he still adores the club. But, never go back. Klopp? An exciting prospect, but no one can predict his future. Ancelotti? rip his hand off.

I still think rafas best skill by a mile was spotting a player and transfers. We can thank him for both Suarez and sterling and he left ages ago.

I remember reading that Benitez was interested in him and was scouted by his successor, Hodge Podge

To be fair there were very strong rumours we were in talks when Hodgeson was in the job October/November time

Not denying it, just hasn't heard it before so wondered where it had came from.

Doesn't look like Benitez will be coming back to Anfield.
