Has Maf actually left the site? He was supposed to leave if West Ham didn't finish above Spurs/top 4 or something like that.
West Ham fans dont see starting the season in July as a bad thing?
So after getting smashed over two legs you went on to just survive in the PL even after the Tevez saga
Arouna
"We're no bitter" a statement of Mafia like quality.
If you are saying that Everton fans overall aren't bitter, well I never claimed they were, you personally however clearly are.
As for whether it's a good or bad thing? Only time will tell. The example you give shows nothing, as West Ham only played 2 European games that season it's palpable nonsense to claim it affected league form.

Are you saying I posted "We're no bitter"
As I dont recall putting that on here Anyways, I am sure EL football will be great for West Ham and will bring nothing but joy to you all
Just like last time you tasted EL football via a technicality
Oh you're right, that was someone else.
However you are the totally obsessed Everton fan responsible for three of the last five articles on the West Ham board. Careful not to choke on that huge bite you have taken.
Well you are forgiven
I like to take the p!ss, and where better to start than West Ham
Good odds on West Ham to get relegated next season if they someone inexperienced like Bilic they could have a tough season with EL fixtures
Hard one to call with Bilic, lots of management experience but none in England. Obviously he played here however. Could go either way.
Arouna, of course where better to start than the Hammers, after all after 38 league games you were exactly one entire goal better than us.
latest article on spurs board is telling me that west ham, in 19 seasons, have never finished with positive GD
Also there are many examples where starting the season early has given a team no ill effects...
Fulham in both 02/03 & 11/12 started first week of July & got more points than the previous season both times.
Liverpool started thier Champions League campaign on the 13th of July in 05/06 & got a massive 24 points more than in 04/05.
Chronic
That's hardly surprising, we have finished in bottom half more often than the top.

So with all the additional EL games we played we suffered a drop of 25 points on last season. I am sure that with the extra games youwonthave that problem

I would like to see Bilic be a hit, I liked him as a player at West Ham and Everton. Sahme his time with us was injury and suspension hit
oh how bilic has fallen.
no offence but I doubt he had west ham as part of his career path when he was doing good things with Croatia
Arouna
And as I already pointed out with the Fulham and Liverpool examples a European campaign does not enviably mean a poor season. Maybe it has for you, maybe it's an excuse, I couldn't say.
Inevitably not enviably, stupid auto correct.
Let's not look at how other teams did. Let's look at how West Ham did in 2006/2007.
Only just escape relegation and you only played 2 games
Arouna
Exactly, we only played two games, so it seems highly unlikely our awful form that season had anything to do with being (very briefly) in Europe.
btw we did the double over both Man U and Arsenal that season so it wasn't all bad.

Well if the quality and depth of your squad was not good enough to end the season above Everton this year....What are the chances with two additional games to play that you wont slide further down the table
Arouna
It was a single goal mate, congratulations and all that, but really.....
Have we fallen to such depths as the celebrate finishing above West Ham on goal difference?
BTW cutting the post season break by nearly a month to accommodate early pre qualifying rounds of the Europa can have a far greater effect on a teams league performance that the 2 simple games you mention.
Any early season benefits fitness wise are easily lost as the season goes on.I think that is what Arouna is alluding to.

I don't think this is the right article for sensible balanced opinion, kindly take yourself elsewhere.
Look at these two Neverton clowns belittling West Ham for being qualified for Europe then again their joke club with 28mil striker lingered with relegation fight much part of this season
