I would respect Froch even more if he took this fight, huge risk for what is probably his last fight

I think it's a bit sad however that GGG is having to step up to 168 to fight a big name, as the rest of the 160 division is frightened to death of facing him

Its what happens mate. Lennox had the exact same problem in the 90s. GGG has no choice. If he wants to be centre stage fighter he needs to seek out the big fights. Just so happens they are at super.

Here's hoping GGG needs a name and he keeps going for Cotto and canelo (fair enough that's where the money's at) every other great fighter moves up in weight GGG is the best MW in the world he's not getting the Cotto fight (Cotto has to be the smallest MW in living memory) and canelo needs to have a few fights at the full 160lbs first. So he's not fighting him until late 2016 early 2017 earliest. He needs to move up and try to dominate SMW and really cement his legacy! Staying at 160 he will not get much credit as the division is pretty weak! I also think geale will trouble Cotto a fair bit and a upset might be on the cards leaving GGG with nobody to fight in the near future

A fight I think everyone would love to see. If GGG wins then it proved he's the real deal, if Froch won it'd take his legacy to another level. Hope it happens.

Yah it's a shame the mw division is a it weak atm, the guys who he is calling out are canelo(career jmw) and cotto who is a blown up ww, think he needs to move up to smw, plenty up there, froch, ward, even chunky now

If he beats GGG his legacy would be superseded but if he lost, then he can at least say he gave a young lion, who nobody wants to face,a tough fight.

GGG is 33 so not sure how you can describe him as a "young lion" Vik.

Also there's not really a huge age gap between the two either, only 4 years.

Superb to be fair GGG is a young 33 where as Froch has seen better days

I am not a big fan of Froch, personality wise, but the standard of his opponents in the last few years have been consistently high so I take the point about wars like the Kessler fights.. He is getting on in years, but seems a clean living guy, who is not going to get fat or fall out of nightclubs.

Superb stop being daft. The amount of wars and damage froch has
taken that 4 years would probably realistically be about 10 years.

Vik you're the one calling 33 year old Golovkin a "young lion".

Which in itself is an extremely daft comment.

Carl Froch has revealed he would consider putting off his retirement plans if he was given the chance to fight either James DeGale or Gennady Golovkin
