Bidding £10m is a bit of a pathetic 'arsenal style' bid though. They would want at least double that figure.

Bidding for another Southampton player!

Good player Clyde though and probably won't be a dud like the ones you have already spent a fortune on

1yr on his deal....what do u expect? ? Saints will I reckon except a bid of around £13-15M, they may have to as lfc might just wait until jan or next summer and get him for peanuts or nothing.

I think it is because he only has a year left. I agree I think we need to pay at least 13mil for him. I actually think that is worth it for him

posted on 29/5/15

solid signing, but if we go to 15mill+ we are getting our pants pulled down again..

Will clyne want to move to liverpool? Not really to much of a step up. I thought he may be looking for a champions league team. Think he may hold out for man U, they were interested

Southampton know United will come in bidding and start a bidding war. We either give them an offer they can't refuse for someone with 1 year left or move on as we won't beat United in a bidding war.

Flanno is better anyway

Klopp

The OP is as bad as the person who thought a £10m bid would get you Clyne

posted on 29/5/15

Yeah can see utd getting him and I can see cfc getting benteke, Maureen needs a drogba replacement.

posted on 29/5/15

I think Clyne is over rated.

Don't think he's worth £12m+

For that total price and wages rather lure over a European experienced RB

What like 12 mil we paid for moreno. That went well

Bid declined.

Southampton should rename themselves I Saw You Coming FC

If Clyne becomes silly money like Shaw,Lovren we should look at janmaat or trippier instead.
Alderweireld also a good option who can play at centre back or right back.

Utd will buy him.

Clyne won't be more than £15m with 1 year left on his contract.

What better right backs could we realistically sign for that price?

Clyne for £15m would be a great buy. If it weren't for his contract situation he would cost close to 25. Really hope we get him.

Clyne is prob worth 15mi lof anyone's money. he is a powerful player.

I don't think he's all that but he is a unit no question.

Southampton will be very dissappointed in him if he joins us. at least they could say if he goes to utd he went for medals but to join us would just get him 1 point closer the top.

I don't think montoya is any better

Klopp has stated that he wants six months out.

He is not available.

BR will be given until January. Klopp will be keeping his options open whilst monitoring the situations at City, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Last summers bad deals from Southampton shouldn't influence any future dealings.

Judge individual players on their merits, not who they play for.

posted on 29/5/15

We have a poster on the United board who has a similar line of thought, South Americans did badly before so we shouldn't buy them!

I think its crazy, judge each as an individual and on its own merits, every deal you've done before is in the past and not part of this deal..

I draw the line at Italians, we only sign the dud ones
