I think it unlikely in the extreme that Wenger will sell Koscielny to anybody, he is our best defender

Its wenger we are talking about now.

Why would Real buy Kosielny and in that deal get rid of Varane?

Makes no sense.

It's silly season officially.

Koscielny cannot leave, he is part of the spine, an important part. Varane is a younger version, not better, though more potential. He won't leave, Madrid won't sell their best defender.

Benzema, same situation, won't leave.

Rafa has barely been confirmed and has now identified he wants to sign Kos already?

If Cahill went to Arsenal he'd be their best defender. Fact

If Koscielny played for Chelsea he would be regarded in the top 5 defenders in the world

Fact.

Any luck backing up the following statement you typed?

"The same Cahill that you often say is not good enough. Of Nick "

Leme know. Koscielny, top 5 defenders

Didier Deschamps warned his players in the run up to his side's friendly against Belgium that they are 'not on vacation' but the likes of Bacary Sagna and Laurent Koscielny appeared to have their flip-flops on.

oh koscielny, when will you ever learn

So, now that the bid is confirmed can we revisit this discussion as sensible adults? Should Wenger demand Benzema as part of the deal? With reports that Benitez wants to use Ronaldo as a striker, I think Benzema to Arsenal is not as far fetched as some may think.
