initial idea is to do flip back from present to past back to present... set in 1979 & 2017!
sounds a lot like 'Looper'... might as well cast Joseph Gordon Levit for the role...

Surely you've seen Californication?! Half hour episodes and about 7 series. Very funny..... He's also just been in Aquarius, which was about Charles Manson. A little slow at times but pretty good.
Punisher is getting it's own TV show just as I predicted here a few months ago.
All we need now is for Netflix or someone else to make a Dredd TV show as well. We're not getting a Dredd 2 but a TV series would be even better with Karl Urban apparently very keen to reprise his role as Dredd for a TV show.
There's an online petition with about 140,000 signatures already so sign it and pass it on via Facebook, Twitter etc

Cannot wait for X-Files to come back. Hopefully it's here to stay, or at least for two or three more seasons.
As for Die Hard: Year One I don't know what to think. Apparently it's a prequel/sequel so part of the movie will feature a young John McLane in 1979 and the other part will feature Willis as a modern day McLane.
Obviously the events of 79 will have a huge bearing on the present day and is very much interlinked.

Californication is well worth a watch. Duchovny as Hank Moody is about as different to Mulder as you can possibly get. Was a great role for him.

Yeah, it was a great show. Funny thing is, I started out wishing I had his lifestyle, towards the end I was glad I didn't!

I watched it and really liked it
Have to say I did like rap from PE and IC etc but I am not one for musical biography type movies generally
i on the other hand love rap and hip hop in general, but have yet to see the film.. only cos i feel they wouldn't be able to do all of them justice.
Ren and Yella seem to get left behind, which i understand for story purposes and if they are gonna make the story of Death Row, that alone is 3 movies.
Terminator Franchise looks dead in the water, as the scheduled 2017 sequel to Genisys is postponed.
Yay!!!
Rumours going round that Quinten Tarintino's 9th Film will be a Bonnie and Clyde style movie set in 1930's Australia...
Get In!!!! Cannot wait!!!!
Finally got round to seeing Legend with Tom Hardy. Very good but the one thing about it that didn't float my boat was that they changed the storylines in several places to re-write history and also diversify from the book that it was taken from.
One re-written bit that I did like was the bit where the Richardson gang were running their torture session on the lines of a courtroom drama with a judge with a wig on and cross-examiners who pulled the electric shock switch themselves when they were over-ruled.

Anyone else keeping up with Gotham season 2? Have to say I've been very pleasantly surprised so far, think the real difference is they're actually giving the more interesting characters enough screen time. That kid playing the young Joker

not seen Legend yet but will...it's due on Sky soon....i always liked the Spandau boys version
anyone watching Blindspot...?
this series is running along nicely
Sheriff, I also like the Kemp Bros version as it remains truer the events as they actually apparently occurred. That said, Hardy playing both roles without seeing the join and the way he gives each twin a slightly different personality, with Ronnie slightly heavier in appearance is a fine acting achievement. For Gangster film aficionados it's certainly worth a look. I will get the Blu-ray.

Len Wiseman on the 'Genius' idea for
Die Hard: Year One...
“After doing the fourth one, there were so many conversations that Bruce [Willis] and I were having about what he put into the character for DIE HARD 1. That character comes in with so much baggage, emotionally, and experience. He’s already divorced, he’s bitter, his Captain hates him and doesn’t want him back. So, what created that guy? We’ve never seen the actual love story. We know its demise, but we’ve never seen what it was like when he met Holly, or when he was a beat cop in ‘78 in New York when there was no chance of him making detective. It’s always been something I’ve been thinking about, and now we’re doing it. And it ties in.
The reason I say prequel/sequel is because I wasn’t going to do it without Bruce. I’m also not going to do it with Bruce being a cameo bookend gimmick. It’s really working into the plot, with the ‘70s having ramifications on present-day Bruce. It inter-cuts in a very fun, imaginative way with present-day John McClane.
The film itself will take place on New Years’ Eve 1979, so trying to gear things towards that would be fun, if we could come out around the same time, but these movies take their own paths.””
yes, i always wanted to know how he met Holly....
makes perfect sense for a film called DIE HARD!!
screw you Len!! and screw you Bruce!!
and i know your gonna find a way to get your wife in there somehow... yes we know she's fit but still, why?... why oh why..??
I too enjoyed genesis as a throw back 80s movie, as in just turn off your brain and enjoy the bangs and bright colours, but the problem is, its so far under t2, 3/4 and 5 have pretty much destroyed the franchise as a big holywood power, none were unwatachable but neither did they reach the heights of judgement day. Shame they scrapped the connor chronicles.
Making a Murderer is nothing short of mindblowing. Everyone should watch it
