----------------------------------------------------------------------
never heard of it
Enjoyed the new Bourne movie on Thursday
Didn't quite have the same 'feel' as the others as the special effects were obviously greater and more modern, I missed the car chase styles from the older ones to be honest.
Still, as a standalone action movie it was really good, and it was nice to see Bourne back
alrighty then....been busy like a mutha! haven't seen much TV. been consumed all things Star Wars.
Can't wait for Rebels season 3.
Sport has been the major factor, but this past week been doing some catch-up... started badly with Ghostbusters 2016.
not as bad as ID 2 resurgence, but they messed it up.
anyhow, i see that i have struck out twice already.
any good recommendations?
i hear mixed reactions with Bourne and Star Trek..
Suicide Squad looks good.
Early reviews for Suicide Squad are in and they are very mixed to say the least. I'm not a DC fanboy but can't help but feel that there's a bit of an agenda against DC.
Marvel movies always get praised to the roof when they're not always very good. In fact Avengers Age of Ultron, Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 were all gash in my opinion.
I'm with you there Blarmy.
Watched a bit of Independence Day 2 last night, oh dear. Hollywood is really running out of ideas as well as treating us like brainless morons with utter crap like that.
The editing and pacing of movies has become so strange these days, there's often such little cohesion in movies. Independence Day 2 felt like a buch of scenes poorly glued together than a flowing movie with any real narrative with characters just randomly popping here and there.
when that Sphere thingy came into play, i said, 'ok that's me out...'
i mean i was half way out the door already, but man o man. Ghostbusters was no way as bad as this...
Hey Stringer did you walk out of the cinema then halfway through ? I found a good rip online and watched it but stopped about halfway as my brain just refused to engage in such stupidity and absurdity.
I was a fan of the original Independence Day movie as well, thought that was a lot of fun when it first came out.

Don't see why anyone takes what critics say seriously.
Everyone has their own tastes. If a film takes your fancy go see it and make your own mind up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
*i wish people would get out of the collective ar se of comic book movies so they stop making so many then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Simple really you don't like them don't watch them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do that a lot
Hey superb, i meant mentally out the door, I can never bring myself to leave the cinema i paid to see.
I just switched off.
admittedly, Ghostbusters was paid for, but i didn't walk.
i should've done, when i realise this film wasn't aimed for me...

My problem doesn't even end with the SH flicks. The sequels, remakes SH flicks all meant to make a quick buxk because the studios know there is a ready audience for them. It's pretty sad state of affairs.
Well, I do find them tedious. The first part of your second comment is actually the reason for the state of Hollywood. I refuse to believe writers can't come up with original scripts because everything has been covered. TV although being a slightly different medium is churning out great original content everytime.
Never seen Wayward Pines mentioned on here?? Into the second series, well worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
New Ghostbusters wasn't great, but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind last week, it was ok but considering how everyone raves about it I was let down.
Also watched Perks of Being a Wallflower which I liked a lot more, once I got over Emma Watson's accent.
And if you like feel good films The Way Way Back was a good watch too
