Yeah, in Kathleen Kennedy's Star Wars men are generally fairly useless, inept or evil while women are the opposite. So there is zero chance that Rey will end up being evil in this movie.

They won't turn Rey to the dark side. Not as long as Kathleen Kennedy is in charge of Star Wars. The problem is that Rey's character is utterly ridiculous and not remotely believable or relatable in any way.

She's perfect and indestructible throughout this trilogy and no doubt she will win the day easily in this movie again without a scratch just as she has in the previous two movies.

If the trailer is anything to go by she might have some very brief dalliance with the dark side in the middle act of the movie but then she'll be back to little Miss Perfect Rey in no time ready to easily overcome any antagonists.

Allegedly in one of the three endings that were shot Rey beats Emperor Palpatine with ease and test audiences started laughing because it was so absurd.

New Terminator is OK, nothing more, nothing less. It's watchable.

You're right though, probably better than Star Wars and Rey sadly.

Dele boy- they've really screwed up on that Rey character. I don't like boyegas character much better either, but he's nowhere near as annoying as her.

Other things they messed up for me;
- kylo ren is a really weak chief enemy. The only way he's work would be a full switchedoo to the good side with Rey going dark
- the start of the 2nd one, with the general going on hold like he was phoning a call centre. Any phones in the Star Wars universe? Never mind call centres? Awful idea for cheap laughs.
- rey becoming super powerful with almost no training, just stupid.
- Rey being annoyingly know it all about everything, and invincible it would seem.

The perfect start would be for her to be killed for good in the opening. Then, maybe just then they might salvage it..

So frustrating!! Totally agree on all points Ole and I had picked up on the same points pretty much.

I did think Boyegas character was probably the best character out of all of them.

Who directed Rogue one? That's how you do a Star Wars story and characters. Thought that was brilliant and one of my faves.

Rogue one wasn't bad, one of the better of the recent. I actually have a soft spot for solo, maybe partly cos Emilia Clarke is in it .

I think j for any director to do something even slightly off piste is really hard due to the tight reigns Disney keeps (I imagine it's a cast of thousands have to approve plots). This is even true about the new Star Wars gane- it had to be veted by Disney.

I think Kylo is the only good thing about it

Boyega hasn't been given a decent bit of script to work with yet so it's hard to slate him, his whole story in the second film was horrendous.

I was a kid who was old enough to had watched the originals by the time the prequels come out, but young enough to enjoy the prequels too. They were okay in the most part. Seeing darth maul for first time was amazing as a kid

Maul is the coolest SW villain still.

I just dont like Return of the jedi too much

Maul was bad ass. Hopefully they dont ruin him in Solo story.

Has anyone watched them in certain orders? I know their are some different suggestions on which order you should watch them to get the best out of the story line...
