I watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood last night, besides a few small complaints I thought it was great.

Better than Django and H8, but not quite on the same level as Inglorious.

I really loved the characters and it did feel QT really enjoyed making the movie.

My only problem was lack of tension and pacing. Otherwise it was very good

What would you give as the age cut off for that then Busby?

I thought it looked awful from all the trailers or whenever it's advertised at the top of the screen on Netflix.

My Missus has watched it though and enjoyed it tbf.

Yeah i thought it looked garbage, and didn't really get the first 3/4 episodes but stuck It it and wound up watching it all within a week.

Im 31 so....

Reminds me of a mix between the inbetweeners and skins if that helps.

I didn't think much of once upon a time in Hollywood.

Decent watch overall but not more than 6/10

I personally really liked the direction QT went with the movie. His strengths as director have always been building strong chemistry between his actors and writing excellent dialogue. It was a different movie to some of others, but it kept the elements of a QT I really like.

The few things complaints I have are either nitpicks or small things I would alter to improve scenes. For instance, I think the movie stalled coming into the final third when he starts using narration t setup the final set pieces.

He did something similar with H8 and although it was done a lot better, I still think he didn't need to spoon feed the audience.

Also SPOILER: but I wasn't so keen on the flame thrower. I felt narratively it would have made more sense having Brad Pitt's character have his moment being the hero. Whereas, I felt DiCaprio's character is a little soft and sensitive to actually act in that manor.

I would give it a strong 7/10, which for means it is an excellent film - certainly one of the best from 2018.

Anything above 7 are for my favourite films of all time.
