Just about to sit down and watch American history X. A classic and stunning movie.
‘You’re not taking me to the cooler!’ - Arnie as Mr Freeze in Batman and Robin.
Unfortunately, Mr Joel Schumacher, you are indeed off to the cooler. R.I.P sir.
Sad news about Joel Schumacher, didn't realise he was 80.

I've just been going through a few 80's and 90's classics with my mate. All stuff I've seen before. Most recently watched Broken Arrow.
Actually watched Planet Terror, the Robert Rodriguez movie which I hadn't seen before. Interesting to say the least.

Yup and they're so refreshingly non PC. A classic era in movie making, probably won't be bettered.

I thought Planet Terror was 2007?
Personally I don't love the 80s for movies anywhere near as much as mid to late 90s. Or the 70s which were incredible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it was 2007, part of a double bill with Tarantino's Death Proof, which I didn't care for much.
Mainly been watching 80's and 90's movies though.
A lot of great 70's movies as well of course.

Well, it depends, I have no issue with animation as an artistic technique so I can easily admire work from Pixar or get lost rewatching movies from the classic era of hand-drawn animation - but lots of adults, especially men, don't. I also liked the Clone Wars Star Wars TV series. So it is hard to work on the basis of "anything really".
If you are looking at films not attached to intellectual property - I would suggest Edward Scissorhands or 80s classic - Splash.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I willingly watched (and enjoyed) Frozen 2 in the cinema, so when I say anything I really do mean anything. Might give Splash a watch tonight

Planet terror is, but he was saying he’s been watching 80s and 90s movies. Just saying for me that’s by far the best era for movies. 70s was good, but you can’t beat the classics of the 80s mate. Stand by me, back to future, lost boys, breakfast club, agonies, Gremlins, Big, Labyrinth. I could go on and on. They don’t make them like they make 80s movies. Early 90s to were superb.
