Games were great, but in essence were sort of Indiana Jones rip offs so the movie has to compete with that. Agreed on casting, doesn’t seem right to me. I hope they go full on into Shangri la or wherever the games went and not tone it down.

Uncharted was much more soap-opera like with personal drama than Indy though.

So watched Uncharted yesterday more because I wanted to go to the cinema as opposed to wanting to watch the film. Was about what I expected, entertaining nonsense, fairly loyal to the games. Tom Holland was better than I thought as Nathan Drake and I thought Mark Wahlberg made a good young Sully. Clear intention for this to be a franchise given the casting.

Man that’s really sad. Just thinking back to the interviews for GB:Afterlife, with Jason and him talking, and how much it meant to them. Like it’s come full circle.
At least they got to have that special moment together.
