Where evil lurks 7.5/10 fack me that was brutal and bleak as hell. . I suspect RTM might like this. Argentinian film about demons, it’s pretty facking brutal in places. Terrified is another Argentinian horror that’s genuinely scary- defo worth a watch. It’s better (scarier and not as grim)

Same director. I came on here recommending the movie when it premiered a while back. Took a bit to get to you guys.
Just watched a Western made in 1959. Now this is a film based on the same premise as the Episode of Rawhide i saw, aboot a stranger coming to kill someone, but no one knows who, and you start to find out peoples secrets and well, tension and panic ensues.
I said the plot would make for a good film done right.
Well, this was alright, for ‘59. The lead is pretty good.
But a slight difference from the Rawhide Ep.
In this film, the stranger comes to town, and everyone knows his name and reputation, and there’s panic as the towns peoples fear consumes them.
I give it a 7/10 - The Bullet with No Name
But I actually preferred the Rawhide Episode, which stars a young Clint Eastwood.
As I say, Hollywood should remake this.
Actually really like old westerns. I know they’re in no way like it was to live in those times but the romanticism is very addicting. The storylines very straightforward and the characters either good or bad yet all charming.
Used to hate them. But now I can see what my
Gramps loved them.
I've watched some westerns and I still remain numb to their charm. I can appreciate why they were so popular during their time but they seem largely outdated and often cringeworthy. The depiction of the native indians is particularly uncomfortable for me to watch.
Once Upon a time in the west is utterly brilliant...as of course are most the Spaghettis
The Good The Bad & the Ugly is easily the best of these...just magnificent...rather like the 7 - another quality film
3:10 to Yuma I watched again recently too...very engaging
The utter timeless beauty of Claudia Cardinale in Once Upon a time helps too....what a babe
Oh ...a nod to Tombstone & The quick & the dead wouldn't go amiss either

It’s up there with the mist in terms of soul destroying endings.
Can't believe Netflix got rid of their £5.99 per month option and that their cheapest monthly option is now nearly double that at £10.99. Unless you want their ad riddled £4.99 per month option. No thanks.
Fun fact: the cowboy tradition originated in Spain.

And Fonda playing against type was brilliant.
The film is just fecking cool as..
I hear what you’re saying Guv aboot the portrayal of Nstive Indians, and It’s funny but the westerns I do like, don’t really have native Indians as part of the story and yeh, I tend to switch off, or not interested in seeing those stories.
I’m watching Bass Reeves at the moment, it’s pretty good so far
