This was one of three games gamers have been crying out for (not me necessarily) on top of the Final Fantasy remake there was also news of the Last Guardian and of course the long awaited Shenmue.
There are a lot of very happy gamers right now
Is it a proper remake or a port from the pc version?
I would imagine if it is a proper remake it will be several years before it comes out
proper remake yes ... no port. early reports suggest it might not be til 2017! which sounds about right to be honest.
Never played Shenmue Amiga. did you .. it does a very fanatical backing.
Final Fantasy was the game that properly sold me to becoming a full time gamer !

The story/plot to Final Fantasy was mind blowing. Easily for me the greatest rivalry (Cloud and Sephiroth) there has been in a game. Every day i spent the whole day in school talking about what i did the night before with my friends and what i will do that night, obv before the days of internet walkthro's n that. Man that game blew my mind (it was the first proper RPG i played also) Parasite Eve was also a game made by Square soft that was epic in terms of story and feel (think it was only available on import) ? thanks game genie!!

ahh yeah i seen some of them on youtube last night but never really watched em ... those people are either faking it or have some real problems man !!

Well i didnt know anything about Sony's Presentation when i watched it ... I knew that uncharted would be there. But FF was a complete mystery and yes i did get goosebumps the very second i seen the reactor in Midgar City... Goosebumps yeah i understand, hell even open mouth but all this crying,screaming n falling of the chair stuff GTF !! lol
they are all wanna be big gaming youtubers who still think screaming at stuff will make them big
na the 20 "energy" drinks and 90 packs of space raiders is the only big they get close to !
They probably won't, but it'd be cool if they bundled it with a remake of the prequel Crisis Core. Damn that was a good game. It really added to the FFVII story and turned Zack from a character in a bonus scene into a really solid protagonist.
Hopefully they do the game justice. And hopefully it comes out on PC, as I don't have a PS4 and never will.
no idea about pc .... however they did say at the presentation that it would be coming to playstation FIRST. which means it will be on other platforms and i cant see it going to Microsoft and not PC

Final fantasy 13 IMO was dreadful, I've tried to play it about 4-5 times and can't stand it so I beg you square, please, don't ruin this game!!
Hope they cut down the Knights of the round summon sequence. That took forever especially when you can get the right materia to cast it 3 times in a row

Yep - used HP altering materia to get health to 7777, then fun times were had by all.

I remember the first time I did it, I worked my ass off without fully realising how easy I could do it by levelling and getting the materia.
However, over the years of replaying it I found a full proof plan of levelling, I suppose it's taking advantage of the w-item duplication glitch, but I levelled up mime, KOTR and Phoenix oh and final attack and if you just keep levelling these you'll practically be able to die about 5-6 times maybe more depending on how much u level it.
It got to a point where the team of 3 cloud, cid and Barrett were so powerful that I fought emerald and killed him with him only having 1 attack! I have to be so quick and just keep battering him with knights of the round and mime!
Ruby's a little more difficult because u need to use Hades and knights of the round as hades removes the status effects from Ruby and then KOTR does more damage!
