More to his game than Shearer?!
======================================
Yes, Kane can dribble with ball at close quarters, he can see a pass also, things that you hardly ever saw Shearer do. That does not mean Kane will become as good as or better than Shearer though, he still has a lot of improving to do, but he just may turn into a better all round CF than Shearer was, he has the tools in his locker.
Sterling is a true 'inside forward' with the ability to play behind the striker.
======================================
An inside forward than can not shoot, head or finish.
Sterling is a wide player, his pace and trickery are his assets, take that away and he becomes a very ordinary footballer.
No coincidence Sterling`s performances dipped after Goofy left, he no longer has the space he enjoyed when defenders were more worried about the Sewer Rat, same goes for Sturridge, Suarez made them all look better than they actually are.

Some posters find it difficult to post with an unbiased head on articles like these but I’ll give it my best try.
If we’re basing it on attitude then Kane clearly wins hands down. Based on raw talent then I think Sterling just nicks it.
Kane had an almost perfect breakthrough season but I agree with some others on here when they say there is something missing. I watched him for the Under 21’s yesterday and he was easily marshaled by Sweden’s pups and didn’t even have one shot on goal (apart from that soft side-footed free-kick). Did he have a season of just being in the right place at the right time or will it be a consistent and continued knack of doing it season after season? I hope it’s the latter – but not convinced - yet.
Sterling on the other hand can be a game changer on his own. We all know his attitude stinks but he is a very tricky customer who can score all types of goals with his left or right, he creates openings (not just assists) and has pace to burn. He’s getting bad press right now and this is probably affecting our judgment on him a little bit.
As for the £40m-£50m being reported, neither of them is worth anything like that. I’d say £15m-£18m tops for Sterling and its difficult to put a price on Kane after just 1 season – but probably about the same.
I say the OP and his friend should accept they are probably about equal in value and lets all wait patiently for the next chapter in the story starting in a couple of months time .

Disagree. Sterling has the awareness to link up with others at pace unlike any English player. Its the sort of trait that is commonplace in other nations but a breath of fresh air over here.
