I have defended Harry's team selection as best I can. I don't disagree with what you have just said there, but at the end of the day, there is a limit on how much anyone can attempt to defend the indefensible. And let's be honest, we were cack today.
Some have rightly pointed out, they have a bench worth more than our entire team, but ultimately the game was lost because too many of our players failed to perform to the best of their ability.
RBDB, essence of spurcat Sounds like a top quality aftershave
Im not too down heartened, I thought if we finished a few of our chances, and a bit of luck, we wouldnt be looking at such a dominant scoreline
I would be a lot more scared if I was in Arsenals boots
Bale missed a great chance at 0-0. you just cant afford to do this against the quality of opposition that man city are.
Edin :
Essence of Spurcat - a fusion of Mackay, with a sprinkling of Greaves and Hoddle.
Re outcome : +1.
So many of us saw the starting lineup, and knew there would be issues. That doesn't foresee Citehs' conversion rate, nor the non-performance of Bale and Lennon (vital given the CM was effectively conceded) .
Arsenal : harsh times ahead with the departure of Fibreglas and Nasri (timing worse than anything IMHO - 60-ish million that will do nothing) .
Bale missed a great chance at 0-0

I sit in the East stand and from where I was, it looked as if he got excited and tried to burst the net. But yes, a golden chance.
Spurcat.. I sit in park lane upper, and it looked as though he may have been stretching, but the replay showed that he just lacked some composure. very very good chance.
the thing i was most disappointed with was how they scored. we go close and then they go right down the other end and score. that is what i would expect of a side like QPR... work hard to make a good chance.. but leave themselves completely exposed. they are very poor goals to concede.
Chronic - you're right, but how many times do you see that happen in games ?? The goals were very poor ones to concede. Dzeko scored 4, yet he only had to work for 1 of them
Spurcat :
If the boot literally was on the other foot, with that Spurs 11, how many of the 5 do you think they would have converted (Dzekos' backward header in particular) ??
So what do our coaches and management staff get paid for? This is what p1sses me off. If Harry wants to big himself up in the media then he should earn it. He should be working on our team on the training ground,We all know where our weaknesses are so why doesn't Harry? Maybe because he is a conman with a large gob who doesn't know what he he is doing?
Dzeko took his goals very very well.
the city goals were just so simple. all seemed to be a one two, a cross, a goal. spurs players nowhere near them.
dunno whats up with lennon and i am not happy about the way vdv took himself off then wondered down the tunnel. a bit disrespectful

to be fair we actually scored from a set piece and didnt concede from a set piece which is an improvement on last season. i have been going on about how poor we are from set pieces for a good while now.
Chronic VDV when on his way down the tunnel booted a ball at the doors out of anger.
He must be pi55ed at that hamstring going again.
Maybe I am being a a bit of a knee-jerk reaction but I just cannot forgive a 5-1 reversal with our current squad. Yes, we all know that Man $ity have the monetary power to blow everybody out of the water but today was unforgivable. But it was obviously predictable. Harry is responsible for finding and bringing in players. He has failed for a very long time now (in football terms) so I would rather he eff-ucked off to the England job now and let us get on with the job of being Spurs. He has always been a flash in the pan manager who cannot manage long term success.
suffering... who do you suppose we bring in?

The RDBD also likes the idea of a 'child of Cloughie' coming in and perhaps continuing the great mans' ethos at the club that gave the world St Nicholson.
Palacios has undergone a medical at Stoke

I wish I knew.... football has changed beyond all recognition. I know we can't compete financially due to the stadium size and because we won't break the bank for short-term success. But Redknapp should be building a team because of this. The performances I've seen don't suggest this. Hell, Owen Coyle or Moyes has achieved so much more in spite of their financial restrictions. And don't get me started on what Pullis has done at Stoke. You work with what you have. Redknapp has never done that.
messiah.
Are they going change his legs around so he can pass a bloody ball?

getting rid of redknapp is just not the one right now. club would go into turmoil. one of my mates reckons after this season we go after owen coyle, back him, and hope hes up for starting a project similar to what arsene wenger has done, including taking us to a new stadium.
i am not convinced though.

This is what annoys me....... I know we won't win the league (been a Spurs fan to long for that delusion to ever surface) but the individuals we have are of a high quality. Just look at Man Utd; Park, Fletcher, O'Shea, Gibson, etc..... do you really believe they would improve a mid-table premiership side? No. It's because they are used to create a team. Because Ferguson (for all his failings) can create a team. Redknapp? Couldn't fashion a team out of the letters; A, T, E, A, M.
Chronic :
If you are going to do a "project" , that means the board, and the fans, must see and support the "grand plan" even when the short-term effects (mediocrity) usually demand mob satisfaction (manager out etc) .
2012 onwards : Redknapp is either part of the future, or he is not. Either way, both parties need to be clear to eachother as to when the point of no return is. And SOON.
Lets look at players Harry has brung in that are in or around first team.
Palacios - looks like he's off
Bassong - looks like Harry has gone off him
Crouch - ex player at spurs deemed not good enough / Harry had him at Pompey
Defoe - same as above
Krancjar - cheap option and Harry had him at Pompey
Walker - was this Harry's idea?
VDV - Levy's idea
Gallas - free
Sandro - was this Harry's idea?
Pienaar - what was the point?
Friedel - one for the future.
