Everton sniffing ...again

Well, if Byram was to leave, I'd rather he went to an Everton/Aston Villa kind of club than a Man City, other Manchester club or Chelsea. And for £8m, it's a good deal IMO. Hopefully we could reinvest in the team, could sign 4 good players with that money.

Having said that, hope he stays

No surprise that Everton play is in pre season, I think that may have ignited this rumour. Could we get one of their players in a swap deal perhaps, Osman would be astute signing for us

Shaun it did flirt with my suspicions aswell. HOwever the last Toffee player we had on loan was not good enogh according to Warnock,

Oh dear Neil ........ cannot believe he said he couldn't get ahead of Brown Seriously though, Osman and perhaps one of their youngsters on a permanent deal could work

That's worst kit I've seen

I think it looks alright.

So what do you lads think of him? Is he a good player? What type of attitude does he have?

Kit looks like subbuteo table footie, awful compared to the one we had going around earlier this year. Badge could have at least been in the middle.

Apparently its fake.

* The shorts are a different colour to the shirt, especially at the top. and if you zoom in, apparently you can see that they are macrons shorts from last season. Got this from the comments section.

mr reasonable.. He has decent technique, good on the ball and has potential. However he isnt fast, cannot cross and has no real creativity on the flanks.

Can he be developed...yeah he can, however for the price touted we are robbing you. Cook is the player we would hate to see go and he would cost you close to 10 being British.

so possibly not good enough for us ( no offence meant), but if he does kick on could be a decent player. Garbutt who we also got off you looks quality just waiting for him to commit to a new contract.

He's a very tidy player, first touch and passing is up to scratch.

Garbutt was poached when the old shirt front was raping the club. Different regime with a different attitude. Don't think this club is in a hurry any longer to nurse players for also ran Prem teams, or other Championship teams. I'd like to think we finally have some ambition after 15 long years. Go get em Leeds! Always remember the statement of intent last time we got promoted! Ironically, we blew Everton away at Goodison, in our first game of the season with 3 first half goals. Happy days! Time to kick some life into this corpse of a football club, never mind sleeping giant! MOT!

Let's look at this with less bias.

Moyes had him watched a lot, he also watced a lot of other players(see John Stones)
I'm sure Martinez and other PL managers have had him watched, however the press have put a rumoured move from United together with old Moyes interest and came up with this story.

No way on gods green earth would the club pay £8m for Byram when we have just paid half of that for young Gerry from Barcelona.

Jag

I've watched him since he's come through, likeable player but to be honest, last two season I wouldn't say he's been impressive at all.

Anything above £2m is too much but for some reason English like to over pay for young English players

I watched him play a few times on sky. Once at RB and once at RM:RWB. Other than he looks a prospect I can't comment further. But the price tag will be set by Leeds. I doubt it will be the £8m if they move for him
