Very sad. Was out so long at times that when he came back he was susceptible to injury having not played for ages. He then got injured and was out for a long time. Just one big vicious circle.

It's time for him to go....we are not a charity club. Wish him well for the future.

Shut up GT. In an age where football clubs are more and more like business'. It is refreshing and makes me proud to be a gunner when I see my club show the humanity, faith and support it has done to try to revive the career of a genuinely rare type of footballer.

Dan Smith should be in jail for his assault on Diaby

He's working in a call centre now so if anything that's worse.

Got to feel sorry for him. He Must be feeling pretty low with the way things have turned out for him. I know people will say, I don't feel sorry, he was payed 60k a week or whatever. But I'm sure the money isn't much consolilation for the fact he never had a proper career.

That's not how most people start out. They don't think I hope I get payed loads to be out injured. His dream would have been to have had a long career. Also bear in mind, he now has they rest of his life to pay for. The money he has earned will soon be spent away. So won't seem that much in the long run.

I hope he can get fit and play a decent few years somewhere. Or find a career else where Like coaching maybe. Or a physio! Must have great medical knowledge!

With that attitude Wenger didn't.

A year? Yes because career ending injuries happen a dozen times a season to every club and they have to be ruthless and cut the cord every time.

Do you realise how utterly stupid your statement is?

If it was Giroud GT would be crying and would offer him a 10 year deal with a view of succeeding Wenger as manager

TBH we wasted to much time on Diaby, we showed loyalty but should have cut our losses a long time ago.

Unlucky career, he'll probably end up retiring. Could always become a coach.

I understand the reasoning behind this but I also think Arsenal have done more for Diaby and given him more chances to overcome his fitness woes than he would've had at any other club anyway.

I hope someone takes him on a pay as you play contract. We kept him far longer than we should have but it doesn't mean I don't want him to succeed elsewhere.

Scümbag should give us back all the money he took us for.
