He certainly had a bad deal at Forest where he did better than any of his immediate predecessors especially Cotterill. Some have said that he never made it as a manager completely overlooking his time here and at Bournemouth.
Being honest is a decided disadvantage in the football manager profession.
It will be intriguing to see how Liverpool fare under his guidance; it will be new for him to deal with the prima donna type.
I see we have signed Chaplow who certainly WAS a very constructive type of midfield player when with Preston and Southampton.
Delighted for SoD - really hope that he's a success there. Now, if he could get the best out of Mario Balotelli....
I see Gary McAllister is going to be first team coach!
Does that mean that the Assistant Manager's (SoD) job is basically to liaise between the Manager and First Team Coach, not forgetting standing on the touchline shouting at the players.
