Ghoulams not a CB

Evans wouldn't be 4th choice. We have about 8 players who are better than him at CB

he is a left back, with potential of playing centre back, in my opinion, thats all i said, maybe wenger will offload someone, i dont know....

I don't think Wenger sees Chambers as backup to Coquelin, or at least I hope he doesn't. I seem to remember him playing there once or twice last year and he was terrible.

I think he is good enough to be 4th choice CB but I don't think I'd play him anywhere else. Jenkinson is a far better right back than him and we've bought Bielik who, though I've never seen, I would play ahead of Chambers in DM position.

See the sense in the Ghoulam link. He is 6 2 and can slot in an a left sided CB.
Going off to the ACON will be a downer as is if Nacho has to leave for us to land the Algerian.

Chambers could always be loaned out until Per leaves I suppose.

Gibbs hasn't improved in too long, wouldn't be surprised if his time is up.

Monreal has come to his own as our first choice left back .

My take on it would be not to try to extrapolate Wenger's plans for the squad based on spurious transfer stories in tabloids and crappy news websites.

Oh I see where you've got confused, I meant major trophies like the Prem and the Champs league not the FA cup (which is still a nice little trophy to win don't get me wrong)

if chambers was going to be a dm wouldnt he be played at dm already

Spent £150 on players and scrapped fourth hoofing the ball to the Elbowing Afro, all that while playing a game a week.
Another spending spree is currently on. If Liverpool or Spurs make the right additions it will back to 7th for you lot next season.

So defensive, getting as bad as the Chelsea lot. Make a valid point and all you gooners get your knickers in a twist. I expected better from you guys tut tut.

My point is valid. Manu underachieved last season. Pellegrini won a double in his first season at City.
You got turned over 4-0 by MK Dons in the C1C and booted out of the FA cup by Welbeck at home.
At this time you have nothing to brag about as a club.

Who was bragging? All I said was Evans would be a good addition as he knows what it takes to win Premier league titles. You are just getting very defensive for some reason.

It's bragging to denigrate the FA cup. The only point of reference is last season, and only Chelses did better than Arsenal in terms of trophies .
Manu won nothing , played atrocious football and finished below Arsenal in points total and goal difference in the league.
As for Evans, Arsenal do not do Championship standard footballers who cough up phlegm and spit on a fellow professional.
