I remember watching Gomes against us for PSV. Wild man, flattening anything in his way and flapping like big bird, but pulling off nutty saves.

Wasn't keen to sign him, and was never truly easy with him. Always felt nervous, even in his good spells. Friedel was boring, but had a comforting feeling in contrast

The penalty debacle was Blackpool at home, end of 2010/11.

City had lost earlier in the day, to Everton I think. Left the door open for us with an 'easy' run. ....

You all know the punchline where we care concerned

Khomulo or something. He's pretty bad.

Saw him score a goal at Selhurst

3-0 friendly win, just before we announced we had signed Rivaldo I think.

I may have made the last bit up

Definitely.
Remember when Gomes saved a penalty, ran out and gave another one away
And then clattering into Corluka (i think) and crying
fack me he was funny
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that was v blackpool, drew 3-3 and basically ended our CL hopes.

clown.

Ghaly was killed by the fans over the shirt thing
Keane got away with the same
Bet he wouldn't have played on after having three or four teeth knocked out (against Chelsea I believe)

Harsh on Jose Dominguez. I remember his debut and he did 17 step overs within a minute. Pint sized legend. Scored a cracker at the dell

Oh my I forgot Rasiak .

As much as I may moan about the lack of quality (to my taste anyway) in our current squad, it's actually scary how bad we were in 97/98 and 03/04.

Was it when we were 3-0 up in that 5-3 loss to Utd that Walker let it spill through his body like a crazy golf obstacle?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That was 2001/02 so would have been Sullivan or Keller from memory.

For those including Andy Sinton he was a great player for us. Due to the time frame I cannot find stats but was only behind the likes of sheringham/Judas/Anderton in performance/goals/assists.

1. Gomes- A keeper that cries and cannot catch a ball.

2. Dean Austin- Thank god for Stephen Carr.

3. Ramon Vega- Own goal after own goal.

4. Stuart Nethercott- Tottenham-Millwall-Non League very shaky defensively. Prob better than Fazio though.

5.Clive Wilson- Never liked him must of been on rubbish wages as he has been a p.e teacher at my local school for the past 10 years.

6. Jason Dozzell- Massive head. Had no idea what he bought to the team.

7. Johnnie Jackson- Huge Arsenal fan and a staple of our awful promotion of average academy products at the time.

8. Michael Brown- a rubbish scott parker without the 360's.

9. Jonathan Blondel- Pleats first signing as d.o.f world class apparently.Went back to Belguim did nothing.

10.Jamie Slabber- Could not hit a barn door in reserves let alone the first team.

11. Andy Booth-Setting a Tottenham record for most games without a goal we bring in bottom of the table Sheffield Wednesdays Andy Booth on loan who turns that record into a premier league record without scoring a goal obvs.

Subs-Old school
1. Hans Segers- Great coach awful ageing player at Spurs.

2. Rohan Ricketts- Latter day Emmanuel Frimpong.

3. Paul Konchesky- Thank god it was just a loan.
