Either way, I don't think any deal has been done just yet, so maybe United may still step in.

This one ain't done yet. Will he go? Probably, all the signs are that he wants a move, Champions League is the big pull, but he may accept less if he wants a change.

Who to? If MU come in for him, who would he choose? My guess is MU, partly because of the Champions League. But might be wrong.

If it's Liverpool, would it be good for them? Not sure. Why did they buy Lambert only to find he didn't fit the style Rodgers wanted? Can they fit Benteke in to their style? They didn't with SuperMario. Big questions.

Would Liverpool be good for Benteke? Only if they can accomodate his needs. He is not yet a world class player. In spite of his talents he has limitations. He expects to receive service rather than go and look for it; movement and anticipation aren't the best. Maybe Liverpool can get the best out of him. But I think he might be better of with players like Rooney and Young around him.

Where does it leave Villa? Funnily enough I'm not too bothered. I'm not a fan of styles which require a big target up front, which is what he's best at, and I'm not sure Sherwood is either. We'll miss his goals; we have to compensate for that, but maybe we will. There's a lot of change at Villa at the moment and it's needed. Maybe this will be just part of it

If Benteke goes he is a great signing for L'pool. I will wish him the best of luck as he has been awesome for us.

It will be tough to replace him, but I do think the price is fair.
