I am going to this one so I look forward to seeing Coady, and maybe some of the kids for at least part of the game. Shame Wallace looks like he will still be unfit. Other main interest will be the set up of the midfield without Sako. I guess a narrower formation is on the cards and although I can see that making us difficult to break down, it could also lead to us creating less

Will be interesting to see where he plays Edwards, being so versatile. Impact sub? Quite a few attacking options at the moment, which can only be a good thing.

getting the hang of this managing lark is kenny .... putting out your strongest team .

next he'll be trying to score more than the opposition

Hard to say right now.

Batth injured, Wallace not ready, price only back three days ago, Ikeme still injured?

Flatt
Iorfa, Hause, Stearman, golbourne
Coady
Edwards, kmac, rowe
Dicko, afobe

I challenge anyone to read the two suggested midfields (or to suggest one of their own) for this game and then to tell me we have more of chance of going than a whelk does of tap-dancing in a blast furnace.

Actually Ikeme is fit, here is the squad being taken

Ikeme, Iorfa, Stearman, Hause, Golbourne, Jacobs, McDonald, Coady, Rowe, Afobe, Dicko, Flatt, Ebanks-Landell, Doherty, Edwards, Evans, Enobakhare, Ronan, Wilson

Dunno tats, I would say our 'best' midfield would be

......price
Coady, Kmac
.....Wallace

Maybe not the most exciting for some people but four good players if they play to their potential.

Interesting to note Henry missing from the squad following links to Charlton.

Rvlp also missing.

Wingers a thing of the past?

You know how many goals that midfield managed between them last season? 18 and 14 of those were in L2.

Ha, 1-0 all the way

More to arrive yet tats, I think there is a reason behind the Henry move if it happens.

I think we will start...

...Coady...McDonald...Rowe

Henry not going to Burton! Well that bollloxs-up my team!

Edwards for Henry and have no idea how they will line-up.

henry to charlton ?

does that mean gudjohnny to wolves ?

posted on 17/7/15

Possibly wolfgang.

Certainly looking like wingers are out of favour given this squad.

So Kenny rules out signing Zyro, and by his blunt answers it seems he isn't impressed with Zyro.

posted on 17/7/15

Why would he sign Zyro if he's not gonna play with wingers?

posted on 17/7/15

Maybe all part of Kennys change of plan, last season was when he looked at Zyro initially, wingers looked like the way forward back then.

But either way, good to have options and I am holding out for gudmundsson now the Henry rumours are rife.

posted on 17/7/15

I hope he comes up with a plan that he's happy with before the season starts.

posted on 17/7/15

I don't believe tomorrow will give any indication at all what Kenny thinks his strongest team or formation is. We should know by now to take every comment he makes to the press with a pinch of salt.

Don't like the idea of a narrow midfield at all but unless there is a good winger signing on the way It looks like the way we are going

posted on 17/7/15

There obviously aren't any wingers out there that fit the fecking mould.

I see Sunny is happy for us to go for it this season and try to get promotion. Does that mean he thinks this squad can compete in the Prem

posted on 17/7/15

The one good thing is that I have it on good authority that we won't miss Sako.

posted on 17/7/15

Kenny seems to think we won't miss Sako. He just thinks to cope without him we need to completely change the way we play and the formation we use

Parked up at Burton. About a 100 yard walk to the turnstiles. You don't get that at the Emirates or Stamford Bridge
