I just read on the BEEB sports that "Dylan Hartley could return from suspension during World Cup"
According to the report that came from Rowntree and thus, it is as near as makes no difference set in stone. Providing England remain in the WC until he is eligible it seems like it would be pointless to even mention it if they were not counting on it. It would certainly be a boost to the front 5. But a bit of a kick in the teeth to whoever gets booted.
Hartley won't be selected, but he is only suspended for the first match Ding. Nevertheless he will only get a call if there are injuries. Stupid really, but Lancaster took a stand and he will stick to it.
Joseph or Watson? You mean May or Watson? JJ is nailed on at OC.
I think he will go with Nowell and Watson for the wings as he loves fullbacks (they both originally were/are fullbacks) on the wings.
Hey man. long time Just the 1st one? Ahhh, i don't know why i had it in my head that the suspension was longer. Reading rowntree's quotes, it sounds awfully like they will bring him in as soon as they can. TO be fair, i would also. It's a world cup and you should strive to have your best available. Suspension or no suspension.
Do you not think he is a liability though? Look at all the bans he's had in his career, can't say he's learned from any of his previous actions.
Well he's a bit of a muppet to be fair. Don't think anyone can deny that. However just coming off this most recent ban and (possibly) into a world cup at home should be motivation enough to just get stuck into the rugby and keep his nose clean. Ordinarily I wouldn't agree with bringing him into the squad. ANd as aristo mentioned Lancaster has made a decision on it and will stick to it, but in light of the demolition job France did on you guys i think it would be prudent to get as much quality into the front row as possible. Particularly since there is a very real possibility of meeting South Africa in the first knock out game.
If it wasn't the WC i wouldn't want him. but it's the WC and it's at home for you guys. you need your best players. Playing their best. And all other muppetry aside, Hartley is a quality hooker.
Sky Sports News reporting that Danny Cipriani will not be in England's World Cup squad
A day early no? Perhaps Lancaster is telling players early and someone leaked it.
Not that the exclusion of Cipriani is any great surprise. If he was ever in contention he would have started minimum one of the 2 previous games as Lancaster would need to know minimum how he goes for 80 mins in a full international. Not a cameo from the bench.
Yeah, the official announcement is at 13:45 tomorrow afternoon.
Hey Ding^^ I agree Hartley is a muppet, but Campese was a *&%$ and I would have picked him every chance I could get. I'm just resigned to hoping George gets the nod to start now because Youngs is the liability in my eyes, not Hartley. His throwing leaks confidence out of the pack and he is weak in the scrum, I don't care if he had the running game of Savea it just isn't enough to justify his inclusion.
Hartley and Tuilagi not being picked ends our chances of going far in this tournament.
Sorry but our other hookers, mainly Tom Youngs, are fecking useless.

I think Hartley will be selected, even though he has that track record and a ban next to his name for the opener against Fiji. Seems a little unfair as he's not played any of the warm ups but still a better player than some others who could be picked.
BBC reporting that Burgess is expected to be selected, which could mean no place for Luther Burrell who has been a regular in the previous two Six Nation tournaments.
Sam Burgess is IN the England squad - according to Sky sources
Harsh on Burrell if true, he should definitely be in there.
If true, England's four centres will have a total of 35 caps between them
Lol the media are really scrapping for this news eh? I have a mental image of sports correspondents with glass cups up against walls in that hotel.
Is the team being announced live? and if so what channel
