Good one coop
Mo Johnston , brilliant!
The hostility towards mo was the worst I ever seen from any club. That's probably still as raw as ever!
All mo did was play for who he thought was the best team in Scotland at the time that was going to win all the honours and he was right. Even when he went to the states the hatred comments followed him over there. The yanks could not understand it and no wonder.
Don't want to open up a big discussion about mo, but I don't think the same would happen today if a Celtic player did the same thing. Unless.....
The guy was Neil Lennon returning to Glasgow to help rangers back to the top of Scottish football. I guess that was why mo Johnston got it bad. He was the most unlikely player to ever represent rangers and did it after saying no at the 11th hour to Celtic whilst being photo'd with the hoops top on. Crazy!!!
Only a wee Ned would have done what Mo did and cross the divide in that way ! Anybody with half a brain would have told Souness to fack off !!
I think Johnstone was completely vindicated in his choice
he joined Rangers, scored goals, won trophies and it led to him being Scotland's first choice striker at World Cup
still last Scotland player to score a winner at a World Cup game
I wonder if blackie still has the Bentley

we may have had better players but he was a great striker
I really liked him.
I hear bungo is still raging
Total myth
one season book was returned
Dark days indeed.
It,s always darkest before dawn. Let,s not forget how this transfer dragged the club into the 20th Century re signing policy . A worthwhile darkness, I suggest.
Though, the boot in the baws was a wee bonus

Yeez told us to sign a Tim Ginger, so we did
Not only a Tim Ginger....but a Ginger Tim....
Trialist at Berwick? Way worse than I expected for him.
He was rotten at Rangers but I still expected he'd end up at a better level than that. I thought the Killie retirement party would sort him out.
