That second XI isn't a patch on Spurs or Everton.
If they played all 38 games, Liverpool would probably get relegated

Chelsea are ahead of us all
Can't believe people think Milner won't start for us!
Ramboue,
Chelsea actually have very little depth.
It would be impossible to fill out a 2nd XI for Chelsea without using lots of unknown youth players.

Can ahead of Milner??? Really???
I rate Can myself but there's no way he is starting ahead of Milner.

Definitely starting for me(assume all fit and rested):
Mig, skrtel, clyne, hendo, milner, benteke, sturridge, Firmino, Coutinho.
Personally id have Can and Ibe too, but I don't think BR sees them as definites just yet, and BR aint spending 29M to stick firmino on the bench once hes had his rest.
Milner will start virtually every game.
Can's place will be determined by how he does in the deep playmaker role.
If he does well and we are winning he will play plenty.
If he does badly but we are winning he will be a reserve.
If he does badly or well but we are losing then we might go back to a back 3 with him in it.
No way Benteke is our first choice striker, Sturridge is a superior player and more suited to the way we play.
---
Sturridge has barely played in a year.
If Benteke starts well he will be the main man and Sturridge will have to lump it.
It will only be if Benteke (and Ings/Origi) are not doing it then Sturridge will come straight back in as first choice.
Then again if we are losing without him then Rodgers will get sacked anyway.

How would line up those eleven players that you feel should be definite starters? Can I have it in formation format without the list please?
Benteke is now first choice striker, that is something BR has been hinting at and Sturridge will have to accept that. He will have to prove his fitness, versatility and ability to play up front alongside Benteke to be a starter.
sturridge is better than benteke. its not really a contest. only question is fitness
It might be the only question but its a pretty big one.
By the time Sturridge is match fit, Benteke will probably have played 10+ games. That's enough time to judge and see who should be starting.
Well apparently the op on his hip has worked and it should fix his thigh in the process so here's hoping!
I'd start them both if fit!
If Benteke does well and Sturridge does get proper fit we will have real quality options in the attacking 3rd (potentially), with Firmino, Ibe, Coutinho, Lallana, Ings etc to choose from too for 2, 3, 4 positions.
Its the defence I'm worried about.
Sturridge performs much better with a strike partner as he likes to drift wide and drop deep as well as run in behind. Having benteke there to lead the line, hold the ball up and occupy defenders, as an aerial threat and to link up with will be great for Studge!
Start some games
Sturridge Benteke Ings
All of them can finish and have talent.
Daniel Sturridge - still the main man at the club.
Benteke may take that mantle in time but for now, Daniel should play whenever fit.
neither of these teams are close to right
