I remember Frank Foster,but just as hard in my opinion was Brian Mctigue of Wigan. Who was the hardest of the two would debatable,because most of the very hard men seldom started the Biff but they could certainly finish it if provoked.
Bill Ashurst of Wigan was certainly tough,but he sometimes started it as well as finished it.

Yes I remember mctigue,tough as old boots and like foster not a giant of a man but all heart as well.!
