I can only really remember Shenmue from Dreamcast, of which I pretty much remember every scene! Am I imagining it or was there an online function, you had to plug it into your phone line and it used dial up internet to connect?

It did, but Sega's online service was píss poor, and yeh it was a56k modem right on the verge of ADSL.

PSP. Awful things. Can't believe so many went for the PS Vita

It's difficult to say as a console because it's different eras. I think in each generation there is one console that stood above the others.

I never liked the Xbox systems personally and never got with the Dreamcast.

The Gamecube (despite having two of my top five games of all time in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Mario Kart Double Dash) is not a console I liked. The N64 had some great games in Perfect Dark, Mario 64, Star Ward Racer, Zelda: Majora's Mask.

It's hard to say as a console, because it is decided by which games it had. But N64 I think would generally win a greatest console of all time contest.

What a pile of excrement, by far the best and most veristile hand helds ever built, just a shame Sony never really supported either, however vita has been saved by the indie scene.

And trebs wasn't asking the best or worse, just the one that never really left a lasting impression.

Agree Raptor, I played so much of virtua tennis, till this day prob the best tennis game ever. Have to disagree with shenmue, it was one of the best games at the time, but nowadays doesn't really hold up, but we do need to thank it for its contribution to games as it certainly helped in many aspects of some game mechanics, unless shenmue 3 has some really amazing additions to game play it will get bad reviews, as the formula that made it so interesting almost 20 years ago won't hold up today.

I had way more fun on my game boy advance tbh, even the gameboy colour.

the psp didn't leave a lasting impression, I quickly forgot about it.

Simon did you hapoen to look into Dominions 4 yet?

posted on 29/7/15

Dude i havent had time, bought the witcher and played about 10 minutes, got Wolfenstein on offer and at least put a few hours into that. But my ability to sit down and play for a couple of hours has been really limited recently

I meant just look into reviews/articles on it. Youre going to need about 40 hrs game time before you begin to get a feel for Dominions. Even then you will still lose to easy enemies.

If you ever get it and want to give multiplayer a go let me know. I dont know anyone who plays it and hate playing randoms.

If anything it will help us both learn it a bit quicker. Will let you know when a sale hits.

Amiga the next gen before the next gen was out! Wonderful memories here, that and the Atari ST. The only way to game before and during the SNES/MegaDrive era. Ah and floppy discs - oh the memories. SWOS, Cannon Fodder, Syndicate, the cod series, and Monkey Island!

Also I think Origin was giving Syndicate away free about a month ago. I dl'd it but haven't played it just yet. Get the minigun ftw

Cheers for that Rep will take a look at that later. Can't beat a bit of sensi

No worries mate

yeah it was definitely the best footy game I ever played really. Speedball 2 was the one that ruined most joysticks for me

Just seen it on Steam remastered in HD but I don't think it's worth the £11, might wait for a sale

I agree, I always think that the guys at Bioware were probably big fans of Shenmue. I think if it just sticks to it's original format then it will remain pretty dated as other games have done it better since 2001. If it's anything like the Witcher 3 but set in 1980's China then it will be a blast.

Not convinced though and I think it will leave fans of the originals pretty disappointed tbh.
