LOLdado! £28M

I do wonder how much we really paid for him. Rumours were that we paid £13million, with the rest based on performance payments (safe to say, I'm assuming he hasn't triggered those ...).

Were we to recoup, say, £10million, it would make the gamble on him not too expensive.

Annoying we haven't bought any attackers yet, could really do with ST, AM and DM

I remember when he arrived, we played our last preseason game at the Lane (cant remember who the oppo was) and he was superb. Led the line superbly and some of his touches and flicks were sublime.
I was genuinely excited and thought he would be a legend for us.
He is still a top player but it just hasnt worked out for him in England.
Ive heard he is a real character around the place and the other players love him.

If he does go he is one player i hope will succeed somewhere else.

In gutted it didn't work for him in England .
It happens all the time , Schevchenko , Rebrov , Crespo, Torres . Endless list.

It was a shame, appeared to be a decent man, I hope he finds his mojo back in Spain.

Torres? He was fantastic.

Like most of us I'm disappointed it never worked out. I would like us to keep him and just replace Adebayor but sadly he hasn't scored enough goals for us to look past the £10m+ we could recoup and spend on a new striker.

He is a good player with a footballing brain and an eye for a pass, but unfortunately Poch`s system does not suit him.

It has just never really happened for him at Spurs, he will score goals again if he goes back to Spain no doubt.
