As an outsider looking in, not long....
And what is going on with the lack of business out of Anfield?
It's August, yet still we've got
Mario
Fabio
Alberto
Aspas
Toure
Lovren
Allen
Markovic
Lucas
As well as some of the younger players that will clearly not make it
Do we need a squad of over 45 players?
Aspas and Alberto have gone. It's pretty clear that Balotelli and Borini are going, we're waiting for an acceptable offer

I wanted BR gone at the end of last season, but he's here so I hope he proves me wrong. If he learns from his mistakes last season we should do well and push for/make top 4.
But I'm not optimistic he will. Seems like Lovren and Skrtel will be 1st choice CB pairing since it's been that in pre-season mostly and they are poor individually and a terrible partnership. Completely agree OP, we need to play a DM but it seems BR doesn't rate Lucas that highly and hasn't bought one. We also needed a new first choice GK and only one of Ings/Origi imo.
Think the defence is going to be our downfall again, but i'm praying that the new coaches will help.
I hope he stays for a very long time
Till Klopp finishes his Garden
The main problem I see at Liverpool is that since Dalgliesh, you had no depth to your squad. Rodgers has bought a lot of players, but like Benitez and all the coaches that came after, a lot of these players are squad players - average players to fill holes. With all the signings made in the last 3 years, you are making your squad slightly better without really improving the first eleven.
Also, I think Benteke is better than Lambert and Carroll, but how much of an upgrade is he on Carroll for your system? If a mobile Balotelli failed, I can't see Benteke doing much better in your current system.

Dont think he will be here if we don't make top 4 or win a trophy. If we are adrift by Christmas he'll be gone
Regarding a DM I don't think he feels the need to play one. With a more energetic midfield he expects to defend as a team and play a high pressing game.
Personally would love a masch just in front of the back 4
Agree that defensively we have been shocking. It'll be his downfall I fear. It's more than just having good players back there, there needs to be an understanding between defenders and we don't seem to have any of that from the keeper through DM
Well changing the coaching staff might bring a new outlook in terms of defending. Rodgers did once claim defending is easy.
