I would absolutely love for us to make a move for Kroos next season to replace Santi if age would have caught up to him. It seems I am the only person who rates Kroos as highly as I do.
that's crazy! I thought Napoli fans like DeLaurentis though?

Don't think Wenger would stump up the money needed to get Real to come to the table over Kroos. Every team in England could do with him, if we are honest.
And with him you are guaranteed to make a profit on him even if it doesn't work out by selling him to a PL club.
If anything Wenger has shown he isn't shy of splashing on a WC player. He would definitely stump up the cash imo. Our inability to find a CF is EXTREMELY worrying though. We won't win the league with Giroud, that is for sure. With a WC CF we'd definitely be one of the favorites for the league but we can't seem to find one.
I should mention this is based on my thinking that Madrid will eventually have to drop one of Kroos or Modric and foolishly pick Modric. Anyway that combination won them the CL so why would they change it?
Doubt it, he won't go head to head with City and United in the transfer market. Those clubs will price him out. That's if Real even want to sell.
Modric is better than Kroos, what's foolish about picking him over Kroos?
I'm certain you would have said the same thing about Ozil and Alexis
I don't think he is. Has the talent but is way too inconsistent for me. The only consistent season he ever had is when he got injured in December. Only brings it for a few games a year. Opinions though.
He didn't compete with them, though. Must admit I'm surprised none of the bigger clubs were interested in Ozil or Sanchez. Liverpool were the only competition for either signing.
I'm making the assumption that both these clubs would be looking at him, of course. If that is the case there's no chance Wenger will stump up the money to compete with them in the market.
Yet he's more consistent than Kroos.
Yes, but before we singed them you would have had the same view about the prospects of us signing. We don't pick up the crumbs of Utd and City fyi. A bit arrogant to think that imo.
Nah, can't even count the number of games where Modric has been totally non existent with Kroos running things. Funny enough Kroos is always the one on the end of criticism
I'm not saying that, I'm saying they weren't your competition for the signing. So Wenger wasn't going head to head with them in the market for those players.
Wenger has shown he will spend big now, not disputing that, but City and United big I don't see him doing.
Tbh Modric is better and more consistent than Kroos.
However, Modric is what, 31 this year? Kroos is five or so years younger so in a shoot-out between the two, with the eventual arrival of Pogba; common sense dictates Modric should make way - both are comfortably better than Pogba atm though.
Common sense doesn't dictate Real Madrid's transfer policy, though.

Too true!
Controversially don't really rate Kroos. His long palls are too loopy, real downsized massively. Xabi's driven ones >>>>
Rooney's crossfield passes >
I loved Mourinho's body on Rooney's cross field passes under no pressure.
They're shiiiiiiit even when he's under no pressure.
