I didn't watch the game today but traditionally you can't read too much into the community shield.
Last year Arsenal thumped Man City and there were a number of similar comments before they started the season poorly. David Moyes won the community shield. Even more surprisingly, Tom Cleverley played well in the community shield!!
I actually agree that Arsenal are beginning to look like an exciting team again but their injuries year after year aren't coincidence and whatever you make of Chelsea's entertainment value, they're a balanced side that will always do well.
Personally if you gave me a tenner to bet on the league winners, I'd still put it on Chelsea.
Arsenal the team of the future, hmmm been hearing this for about a decade now and still waiting for them to finish higher than third or do anything remotely significant in Europe.

It seems odd you say are Arsenal are an exciting team after one of the biggest bus parking jobs in Wembley history.

If you look at the first sentence, I also said I didn't watch the game today.
Arsenal have a lot of attacking talent and finished last season in good style, thus the comment.

Also interesting to note that Chelsea are on a downward spiral with an incompetent manager who won the Spanish League once in 4 years with the most reputable club in the entire world with unlimited funds. They have lost all their club legends - Cole/Drogba/Luiz/Cech/Lampard to superior teams and they will breakdown as they struggle to come to terms with becoming a selling club and being the 3rd best team in London.
