We aren't buying another striker.
People need to start accepting this.
We are done for transfers unless by some miracle Benzema becomes available (which he won't).
Also, I should add, that our current squad is good enough to win the league and a domestic cup. And maybe reach the CL semis.
We don't need to strengthen anywhere apart from DM. But Wenger doesn't buy DMs so we are done for the summer.
I think AW has weighed it up and decided Iwobi was the better option to keep in and around the squad this season. He had a better preseason than Akpom.
He's making room for benzema! You'll all see!!
cool i went for akpom in my Fantasy team as a sub, looks a good player could get me some goals

Not sure Championship counts.
Bit of a shame tbh wanted him to get a better look in this season but this surely means we're bringing in another CF which I hope is the case.
If we don't then it's disappointing as he could potentially surpass Welbeck in the pecking order this season

i know
Well The Telegraph on-line today is reporting; 'Gunners clear to sign Karim Benzema for £46m' - They are saying that Real Madrid are resigned to losing Karim Benzema to Arsenal this summer, and have already began targeting replacements for the French striker. Probably just made up newspaper talk, to fill the transfer rumors section, but we do need a striker.....
He won't make it at Arsenal, Wenger clearly doesn't rate him.
Won't be missed. Looking forward to Sanogo coming back over Akpom.

Strange conclusion to come to considering Mr Wenger has given Akpom minutes in the PL and FA Cup. Not many managers would give game time to a teenager they don't rate. Nevermind a long contract.

I don't know last season he had a good preseason only to fall behind Sanogo in the pecking order. This preseason he got a decent hat trick and then he only got about 15 minutes in his actual position over 2 games in the Emirates Cup. Plus the way he was playing was as though he felt he needed to do something significant to impress Wenger which really didn't seem to work. I hope I'm wrong though as I rate him.

That's because of higher priorities.
Seeing how Theo fares against Giroud as a CF is more important for he start of this season than playing Akpom upfront.
The fact Akpom got minutes whilst out of position tells a lot about how Arsène rates him.
We currently have 3 CFs ahead of him and potentially could bring in another so it makes sense to loan him especially if Hull proposed an offer
I disagree if he rated him so highly I think he would of got at least 45 minutes in his favored position and look how much more game time Adelaide got over the 2 games who plays in arguably our strongest area of the team. Or Sanogo being picked ahead of him last season. But at this point its all conjecture so we might as well just wait and see, and as I said before I hope I'm wrong.
