ac Milan. indeed. again, a great fixture and the kind of pre season game we want..but not 3 days before season starts ffs
maybe spurs have the dates wrong when the season starts.its 2 weeks early this season
To be fair these was booked in before the fixtures was announced and drawing United screwed us IMO
If we got say WBA it would of been a 3pm KO on sat.
Also could have been even worse and had to play a Europa play off on Thursday like Southampton

Very negative artical Chronic
The worst thing is that Poch admitted that we tried to move the game to Sunday so even he thinks the Audi cup will hinder us.

we knew for ages that the season starts early this time because of the euros.
Don't fret. I'm fairly confident that you will give us a good game. I mean, AC Milan? Hardly Stoke now, is it?
tf. who was the brains behind this one? if its levy he needs a good hard slap on that bald head. real Madrid and whoever we play today is the kind of pre season we want, but not 3 days before the start of the faaacking season mate. faack me. I just have to laugh.

mate I do share your concerns as a fellow fan, but I think this is exactly what we need to try out the whole squad.
These are pro footballers, in three days, they'll be sharper and ready for what MoPo expects which is a very high temp and high energy performance.
I am rather happy that we are putting few players through the ringer.
I noticed some young ones have gained more confidence after the LMS game, and showed it during the Real game.
Man U can expect a very high energy game
To be fair Chronic, if Spurs are ever going to compete at the top level, then two high profiles games a week with full strength teams will be the norm. Are you saying Spurs will not be able to handle big games coming thick and fast? Spurs are not even playing their full team for 90 minutes in these games, so cannot really see a problem. Better than boring training sessions.

Spurs are hardly playing the same XI for the full 90 minutes two days in a row. Stop exaggerating.
Its another example of the strange world that being a Spurs supporter brings to your table.
On the one hand we have a superb new stadium coming and lots of very promising young players at the club. On the other our pre-season is a farce and if Kane gets injured we are in the shhiit!

It's only Germany so not that far to travel back, you'll more than likely play a different team tonight than you did last night so I don't see the problem.
Chelsea are playing a friendly tonight to and I think you'll find a lot of clubs will have behind the scenes games this week to.

It is probably part of the agreement to take part and to receive payment for it in that a team fielded must be considered a likely starting squad in a national league game. Prestige of the tournament and all that.
Shouldn't be too much of an issue, yesterday was hardly at breakneck speed and most will come off at half time.
If what we've heard of Poch's training sessions are tru then 60-90 mins yesterday was no more intense than a days training.
With no injuries then shouldn't be an issue. If he was always going to do this though then would rather he put full strength from the off and get them used to playing together.
