It is GirouD....... with a D.

As Django says, the D is silent.

Second oldest squad behind City, even before we bought Cech. Didn't think I'd ever say this about a Wenger squad tbh.

Yeah a lot of players in our squad are at their peak, or approaching it I.e, Cazorla, koscielny, mertersacker, monreal, cech, ozil, Sanchez, Walcott, Giroud. So I believe now is the time we needs to seriously challenge for a major honour, and in transfer market we should do all we can to supplement that. It's been ages since we've had a squad at their peak with bags of experience. We really have to do something big in next 1-2 seasons.

I'll say it again.

Wenger get's you the the bare minimum. Fortunately we have the best team in the league.(Whoscored's words not mine).

Will we flatter to deceive in the prem matches against top 4 sides? Probably

But this team eats everyone from Liverpool down for brunch. Stay relatively injury-free and we will win the league.

Why?

Cos with the team he's got, and the teams others have, its the bare minimum this season.

We are still a couple of players short. A DM and a striker. Coq is a good player but to play nearly 50 games this season is a big ask of any player and wat happens when hes not playing? Arteta? Flamii? Good players but not a strong defensively as Coq. And as for Giroud as our first choce striker, I want to see a 30 goal striker, not a 20 goal in a good season striker leading our line.

This exact response has been repeated ad nauseum on this forum.
I'm more afraid of losing Monreal than I am of losing Coq. Gibbs has been really bad. But they are backup players. And a fit Arteta is criminally underrated by just about everyone.
