We have charity to the less fortunate in our DNA so this is nothing new. It used to be to poor immigrants now it is the poor cannon fodder that benefit from our benevolence
Its not nice to gloat though...

On a serious note Hector, I thought it was very good of Magners to allow our Team shirts to have 'The Celtic Foundation' crest on 2 occasions in Europe. Uefa don't allow booze adverts, but Magners have bottled water brands that they could have insisted on.

Absolutely jimbo, great gesture
The berz when sponsored by McEwan's used centre parcs as sponsor when they played French teams, automatically wrote off a possible holiday destination

Ha ha, that McEwans lager sponsorship Rangers always reminds me of the cartoon in the 'Not the View' fanzine. Souness was playing for them and the cartoon showed him on the park with his Rangers jersey sponsored by 'pash'
I remember the mojo t-shirts
'Bless me father for I have signed'

Some bitter hater has given this a not so charitable one star. Probably some tight rse that doesn't donate to Charity.

Zico, I would be hurt if I didn't get a wan star.
Think of all the 1* that poor Timmy & Irvine get ... for absolutely fe,ck all!
Admin, I tried to include Rangers for this thread but I got a red message. What's up? They don't like it when they are excluded.
Celtic are an Irish club just like the real Irish club His.
"His"
So close Toiler, so close
We have given cash to other clubs before when qualifying for the Champs league, no biggie imo, others will do the same if and when they qualify, honestly felt for the dons last night, they were the better side imo, they will be a decent side this season

Toiler, let me inform you. Celtic means the people of Ireland, Scotlans, Wales, the South West of England and parts of France from the Roman Occupation through the invasion of the Anglo Saxons. The founders of Celtic FC wanted to be identified with a common link with Scotland & Ireland. But never had any doubt that we are a Scottish club. It's still the same mate. You may well be right about the founders of Hibs, I'm not sure. The Hibernians were an Irish organisation as far as I know. But having worked in Edinburgh and known a few hibees that doesn't come across to me nowadays.

Jimbo, I am an Edinburgh resident and go to a few Hibs games each season (Jambos too but I dislike those cants) there seems to be a split in that camp, some are like you say and some are like a portion of our support and seem to think that they are Irish (I mean those born here but cling to the pash which has nowt to dae with fitba), it is however, in both cases the minority mate
Zico, did you not say you just had a wee one?
How you ,managing?
